  • I'm not too sure about this, but.... tattooing glycolic acid in there, does anyone know about that?

I heard it was a newer thing that basically breaks up the ink, slightly different to a laser. I have no real idea about this though, you may want to ask someone who has more of a clue.

Is that the thing some people were trying to get money for on dragon's den? Looked a bit dodgy, they had no evidence of any research or clinical trials or whether it was safe or not or anything.... I remember looking it up and it looked way suspicious. Things may have progressed since then though, I'm not sure.

Like I said, go at it with a dremel. Works a treat.

  • You mean they don't come off? Ohhhhh fuck!

"'The reason that a tattoo stays there is that a coating is put around the ink to protect it from the body's immune response."

Huh? I wouldn't trust that article if i were you.

  • someone has been tatooed to look like Hillbilly?!?!

  • that thing about the tattoo removal "cream" - there's some stuff about it on Orange County fixed site..

  • I tried to get this tattoo removed. But every year it comes back :(

  • Couldn't you just hack off the tattooed limb, that would save you so much cash and no painful removal processes either.

ok if it works so well why is the final result photo taken using flash to blow out the highlights ie the skin that used to have the tatoo??? cant even see if its still there or not.

  • So, has tattoo removal moved on at all since Nov 2008 when this thread was first posted? Reason I ask is I had some done when I was a youngster, did the classic of not researching well enough (impetuous youth) and the 'artist' I went to was shit - as were his tattoos. Have been torn between removal or cover-up for the last 5 years with neither quite winning out yet.

  • Suki speaks a lot of sense

"I hope that reading this article doesn't encourage more people to have these awful disfigurements done to them. When I was younger only certain types had tattoos and in some occupations eg catering you would ot get a job if you had them on visible parts of your body. I can't believe anyone finds them in the least attractive. They are cheap, tacky and always associated with the lowest form of taste.

  • great thread with some lol posts.

  • Haha a friend of mine tattooed this.

Removal I only know one person who has done this succesfuly, eveyone else
gave up after one or two sessions and got cover ups.

  • My daughter has asked me about getting a tattoo and even asked for Liam Sparkes details, lol.
I know she will love his tattoo parlour and I am really proud that she wants to talk to us about getting one first. Alas her mum comes from the school of thought most middle aged, middle classed women generally. More concerned about what other people think than what our daughter wants. I have suggested a visit to the parlour to discuss with Liam. If this makes me an irresponsible father, then shoot me please.. All I want is for daughter to understand the process properly before committing.. Also this thread would be very enlightening.. If she does have it done, all I'll say is did is hurt? Any regrets?
