my friend tried to remove 2 tattoos . one really big at the back and a small one on her finger. they told her that 4 sessions would be enough but the tattoo is still half way through being removed after the 4 sessions. on top of that the skin is all white where the laser was applied. She said that it hurts a lot as they burn the skin to remove the ink. If you want I give you her number and you can ask her. The place was near livepool street, it was like £200 pounds a 15min session

wait maybe a year or so, theyve developed a new way of removing tattoos that doesnt cause any scarring or discoloration.

yikes, doesn't sound like its a good option, the one I want removed is only little but if it leaves white looking skin it could be a problem as Im olive skinned... maybe a cover up is a better option? thanks for your input :)

tattoos are not meant to be removed, you should have thought of this before you got one. if you cant live with it get it covered. even if you don't like the design you should like the memories of why you wanted that tattoo at that time.

you will have trouble with olive skin, with laser removal.
cover-ups are notoriously hard and you may still see the original. when you're back in london, go see the guys at New Wave tattoo up in muswell hill and chat to them about it, they are brilliant.

tattoo removal is really expensive, really painful and not very effective. A coverup is definitely the way to go.
A friend of mine has had a ton of sessions to get something removed from his hand - he's tattooed up to his jawline so he's not averse to a bit of pain but he said it hurts like hell getting lasered And its still not there yet, its just faded -

Hi bellezza. my friend is brazilian and she hasgot olive skin too. I prefered it whe she had the tatto even though it was wrongly done. the family bussiness tatto on exmouth market are really good. the problem is that if you regret having done this tattoo and cover it up, the new one will be bigger and you might regret it as well. i think that CC is right. i have one at the back of my neck that I hate but don't think about it...

pretty ineffective then, I think a cover up is going to be the better option, thanks for the input.

I have a tatoo that i got when i was 18, i don't like the design any more, but i don't really have to look at it much (its on my shoulder) but when i do see it i don't mind it beacuse i rember all my freinds and that point in my life, and why i wanted this particular image.
I might not like the desgins of any of my other tattoos in a few years, but i want to rember the time in my life, and the way of thinking i had when i got them done.
for me the point of a tattoo is the memory, and therefore I would never get one removed. this could be beacuse i dont really keep in touch with people from my past, and i don't horde stuff so its the way I rember, and stay attached to, my past.

I think it is always better to attempt to modify them.
If it is a word try putting a letter at the start or the end to change the meaning.
If it is a picture of a wild animal put some nice big ears on it to make it funny.
I have other excellent suggestions, but beyond this point I will have to charge.
