I do not participate in celebrations of the capture and murder of one of England's great patriots and heros.
I shit you not, up until 2 days ago I thought Nov. 5th was about celebrating the fact that Guy Fawkes tried to blow up Parliament, I was crestfallen when I found out it was celebrating the fact that he failed and was caught :(

Rubbish, I spent my night in A&E after mashing up my finger tip in the chainline a la Sheldon. So no fireworks for me, still it's got glue and steri-strips holding it together. Just want it to HTFU and heal.

Rode all the way down to Streatham to catch up with the kids just in time for the display, only for 2 of them to burst into tears saying it was too loud and they wanted to go back inside.
Jeez - made them HTFU and watch them anyway.

Blackheath fireworks are good, plus you can plonk your box of plonk on top of a parking metre and dispense wine into plastic wine glasses with aplomb.

Battersea park is good, bon fire and everything, but you'll have to hop the railings and boyofdating. Unless you want to pay. Otherwise brockwell or clapham common, also good.

i'm going to Blackheath (Sat) AND Victoria Park (Sun) fireworks this year because i am greedy.
both are usually very good and i've seen both several times.
:( I'm paying 3x that much for a shared house on the same road (it is a nice house though)!
