  • Bertie Blunt, His Parrott's A Cunt - love it!

    Or

    Watch Out, Beadle's A Cunt

    Classic Viz!

  • Laurie Driver was the drummer in "the Adverts" back in 1976

    'Fay Fife' was the singer. That was a joke that I didn't get for years...

  • and one that still eludes me

  • me too....explain.

    My mum's cousin was was in the band, Howard Pickup.

  • This would not be news if the Ross / Brand thing didn't happen last week (or whenever it was).

    Jeremy Clarkson's comedy is not at all clever and relies on simply saying outrageous thing, I don't like it , I find it pretty weak but it's just part of his "act".

    He has said far more controversial and provocative things in the past IMO. E.g Cyclists fair game for a bit of hit and run. That's actively encouraging violence towards a group of people where as his latest comments are a poor taste joke about lorry drivers and prostitutes with no encouragement to partake in any particular activity such as murder.

  • It's a Scottish thing. Fae means from. Fay Fife means 'From Fife'. She was from Kirkcaldy.

    People from Fife would say they are "fae Fife". It's not really a joke that would offer much reward after years of thought.

    Added: What Platini said.

  • clarkson = cunt
    ross = cuntier
    brand = cuntest

    boris = alsocunt

  • *"Analyzing humor is like dissecting a frog. Few people are interested and the frog dies of it."

    *E B White

  • Having been to a couple of Top Gear filmings (oooh get her!), I can honestly say Clarkson is truly a bizzare human being. He's even worse off camera, but you get the feeling its all a bit of an act and he is (possibly) quite a boring bastard at home. He can be funny though and I like the non-pc comments.

  • Platini, you'd better watch out

    Clarkson married his agent/manager,[1] Frances Cain, in May 1993 in Fulham. The couple currently live in the town of Chipping Norton, situated in the Cotswolds, with their three children (born August 1994, March 1996, and November 1998). Clarkson also has a flat in Bayswater as a base in London for working, **but after selling this the couple bought a lighthouse** as a second home on Frances' family home of the [Isle of Man**](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isle_of_Man).[7]**

    Yeah, I know. He put people's backs up a while ago when he tried to divert a public footpath near his home.
    I haven't lived on the IOM for donkey's years.
