constitution hill. not overly potholed, but the surface is horrible. it's so torn up and ragged it's like riding over a giant ryvita. wrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
kilburn high road isn't toooo bad. i did go straight into a pothole there this morning but as i was drafting a bus at the time when it suddenly appeared from under the rear bumber i can't really blame anyone but myself for that. always a worry when you're preoccupied with staying on the slipstream and concentrating on the brakelights.
the absolute worst i've come across is maygrove road between west hampstead and kilburn. a combination of a steeppish hill, potholes, patches of slippery cobbles, loose grit and oversized flat-topped speed humps one of which has a massive (and blind if you're coming down the hill) dip after it, making the total drop something over a couple of feet. it eats cars that one.
actually thinking about it now - maybe it's a pretty fun road for those very reasons. i always liked the sprint from centrepoint down onto rosebury avenue for similar reasons. it's a slight downhill, usually with a following wind, lots of fast moving traffic and some fairly gnarly pothole themed obstacles to avoid.
bad but fun.

Anybody try 'bike road surfing' down Oxford St.? Find a nice long section of wavy road that has been carved out by the buses and ride up the 'wave' sideways to the crest and then come back down and up the other side. Keeps the boredom away when behind a slow moving bus.

i remember we did this thread before. i remember agreeing with Slamm about Norwood road from tulse hill down to herne hill. i no longer ride that road but remember it as bad.

Take Seymour St/Wigmore St or Upper BrooK St/Brook St instead of Oxford Street every time for crossing centre of town.

Yeah, that's an arse of a ride, well bumpy, as is the bit if you follow it up(from Tulse Hill - Christchurch/top of Brixton Hill) round the one way bit on the South Circular

+1 for Borough High St.
....But, Surrey Canal Road in Bermondsey has to be the worst. Near the dump/ skip place/ Millwall FC... so not surprising really. -

The bottom (and steepest bit) of Highgate Hill. Just when you want smooth concrete to help you up the hill the road surface just falls to bits. The same happens on Swains Lane just as it kicks up to its steapest point. Its like off roading.

not the worst road but definitely the worst hole is on green lanes underneath wood green shopping city. There's a sunken manhole cover there with a nice 8 inch moat around it, protecting the the manhole cover from any would-be cyclist invader. Horrible bit of road, getting caught in the mix with that hole + assorted bendy busses and boy racers isn't the most pleasant ride.

Horn Road in Ealing is the most polluted

It seems the EU allows every place to have only 35 bad air days a year. They need to come round to my place of an evening...

Oh my...where do I start? Any bus lane in London is pretty horrific to be honest. There's worse but the Strand (E>W) comes to mind. I doubt it helps having London's heaviest vehicles constantly driving over freshly laid, soft tarmac. That's just asking for a ridiculous amount of sunken drains and crater-sized holes. Isn't there anything better than tarmac to use?

Amwell Street downhill...

The worst ones I can think of are Goodge Street and Bishopsgate. They are both a disgrace especially considering how much money the City and Westminster Council rake in.

its not the roads i hate.. it's the Mews
Fucking Mews. whats the point when you can't even get out the other end. they are as bad as "court yards". then they feel the need to cobble them for fancy effect -

I fucked my front rim today.. on Bayswater Rd.
Depth Perception Fail
I swear I thought it was a leaf on the road and then there was this bang, clunk clunk clunk..
I'd hit a cunting rock and fucked my front rim. I don't know how the fuck I didn't crash but I'd hit the rim right at the seam and it compressed into a fold and on I rode. Nice. Front brake was hitting the folded bit so I adjusted it to make it better.Obviously the Cuntster knows it's about to be replaced!
Will be a polo wheel for someone now I guess..
