  • double vision tho :)

  • I have got a really old brooks... would it work?

  • double vision tho :)

heh. I had about twenty people standing round gawping at my first attempt using them on a saddle. Skoota refused to remove the seat post, so I had a vaguely drunk gabes trying to hold it steady for me over the side of a pub bench... bah.

kattt's one I did about ten minutes later was almost perfect, no shady double stamping. honest! She hasn;t taken a pic for me yet. Looks sweet though.

I have got a really old brooks... would it work?

Would what work, sorry? Stamping, probably not very well, unless the tanning has ALL gone and its basically a suede saddle now.

  • Happy to try and reshape if the saddle has sagged in the price, it takes a couple of days but is well worth it.

Indeed - it does take a few days (...) but is certainly worth it.

  • hi skully .. any luck on getting the number for me?

  • Is Skullychops open on saturday post ride??
only i want Skully to do me.....

  • Ohh Good idea GS. i am sure he could get a bit of work if he rolled out on saturday....

  • Cheers Leon for posting that. The side profile looked like a decent line. Yep I've never seen a 'team pro' that wasn't rock hard, guess the older 'professional' ones were too. Made from cow's butt, the thickest bit on the hide.

Talking of posting, where the f did those scuffs on the nose come from? They weren't there when Royal Mail got their mitts on it.

    Gr.

May you and your bike seat be truly happy together.

  • Don't fear Skully dear chap....happened my end....bike fell over when perched against my shed.....

My saddle and butt are but a marriage made in heaven...with you as the person that made it all possible......cheers....Leon

  • Oh yeah did mention those old professionals are £125 NOS (from a certain dealer in fine old parts)!!? That's why i didn't want to butcher it.

  • Just picked up my chopped and stamped B17 from Growup (thanks so much for holding onto it for so long), and I must say it looks the bollocks! And cheers for the scraps Skully. Will take a pic when it's fitted.
