Grab bits, move them around. Loose ones likely to be the cause.

I make love to my bikes..
Headset bearings?
Brakes?
Wheel bearings?When does it happen?
-
• #5
is that why you like plenty of lubrication?
splash…
-
• #6
it happens when i go over rough ground.
i don't ride brakes laughs at brakes so it couldn't be that
im pretty sure its not my wheel bearings, i have a front bontrager wheel which seems solid and its a good quality wheel.it might be the headset, im really not sure though and i don't know how to confirm if it is it nor not...

Good quality stuff still wears out..

tighten your headset

• #12
and check you spoke-tension

Spoke tension you feel on corners, or it would give you a kick, but not a rattle -

i tightened stuff up and fiddled around with stuff today however, its still here... im lost, maybe a bike shop is my only option...
-
• #21
sure the origin of vibration is front? i had some dodgy (very loose) spokes in my back wheel and this caused a vibration felt through front wheel.
-
• #22
It'll be the gamma rays then..
unexplained vibrations - Google SearchCuppa T, are you in London? Why not get one of us to look at your bike?
-
• #23
im like 93% sure is coming from the front, if i push down on the stem and drop the rear end of the bike against the floor there is nothing where as if i push down on the seat and drop the front end of the bike it rattles...
-
• #24
ah, a rattle you say??? could have something in the steerer tube, stem.....still sounds like the headset has some play tho.

yeah, i am in London, i stay North East, i would be very greatful if someone could spare some time to look at it...
title says it, im getting a vibration from the front of my bike, i think ive worked out its not the wheel, it might be the forks but i don't have a bloody clue! don't like it anyway, what do people suggest? anyone care to take a look at it?
