  • man id be well up for coming round but most of us are gonna be in Cambridge playing polo cheers though

  • ah man I'd love to come, house shows are awesome, but gonna be in Cambridge aswell!

  • ex-beecher!? would be well interested in hearing that....unfortunately im also away.

  • how often do you put on houseshows?

  • And that doesn't mean you Bajan, I would hope that you never put them on...

  • depends on the fee

  • we need to get out more

  • Yeh one of the ex-beechers lives at our house! We seem to be averaging about 2 gigs year. This will be probs be the last one in this house before moving out end of June. My housemate (Ex: Burnst, FTSE100. Current: NASDAQ, Lonely Woman, DBH) is the organiser. There's no fee.

  • ha! Ex FTSE100 Current NASDAQ

  • Spotted a silver frame, with drop bars and yellow back rim riding through Crumpsall last night. Keep spotting more and more fixed in North Manchester.

Also, spotted the most ghetto conversion ever. A kid riding round on a mountain bike with a 20" wheel on the back.

I bet that looked good. In a ghetto kind of way!

  • It was sick. Kind of wanted to have a go. Watching him tackle this bump section of a path was right funny.

  • ha! Ex FTSE100 Current NASDAQ

Aren't they like pretty much the same band anyway?

  • Aren't they like pretty much the same band anyway?

    Same people, different projects.

  • I don't know anything about the bands, just like that they though "last name was quite a good one... if it aint broke don't fix it..."

  • Rob, I'm going to pop along mate! Sounds great.

    Do you want photographs?

  • Yes Morgan! I'm not concerned about photographs but by all means bring a camera if you fancy taking some snaps.

    @Prole Art Threat, get involved!

... I'm going to repost the gig in the Nights out in MCR thread ... probs where it should have been posted originally.

  • Spotted: Guy with white framed fixie, might have been a conversion, shaved head with bit of a longer fringe. Cycling down Newton St towards Tesco Metro at 12noon ish. Anybody here?

  • Dude that was probably me, well description matches and I was around there then. Bike was my fucked up beater, breaking out my new Moser very soon, cannae wait. Would love to come to the show but got the missus over this weekend curtailing activities. She wants to go to the WU LYF show, drink over-priced beer and be surrounded by cunts instead. Fun fun.

  • Ahh, the thing is, it isn't overpriced beer. It's dirt cheap at outlet, or it was 2 months back. I'm at the WU LYF gig on saturday, the gig's usually good so long as (and this is just worrying that it happens often) there's not that much press and bellends arriving just to slag off the people there.

Also, spotted, bare loads of bikes outside Saki. Was/is that you lot?

  • Last time I went it was something like £3.50 for a Peroni, but yeah, they used to do beers for a quid. Oh well, it's the last one for some time and the set is usually great, but too many scene type people have cottoned on I guess?

  • Spotted: some guy walking his bike past the Cornerhouse at about 6pm without a front wheel, looked pretty pissed off... wheel been twocked?

edit: American: the Bill Hicks Story was awesome. Missed a fair amount of things out though.

ugh. what? really? oh that is depressing. First time I went they were a quid a bottle, yeah, which was good, but horribly bad cause then I drank far too much, went to a house party, then it snowed, and i had to ride home. Ugh.

Anyway, I'll be there anyway. I should be riding so might spot you about?

  • spotted mmatt last night going past sainsburys on oxford road
