I was speaking to a friend of mine yesterday who is a neighbourhood development officer. She thinks we may have a very good chance, with her help, of securing a permanent indoor space, or at best improvement of the lights & surface at barnwell, by targeting the right people/departments at Cambridge City Council. Has anyone been down that route before?

No one has really tried.
I have contacted the council in the past to ask for access to the tennis courts in the summer for a tournament. They were not very helpful.

But I was thinking the same the other night. The council should have a list of spots with lights/cover at least. Its worth asking for support
