  • where do you think will be better on friday night? should we just do it after polo on sunday?

  • Salisbury is fine , we can sit cross legged on the floor if necessary

  • What's the verdict on polo this evening? It does look a little snowy out, although it didn't snow last night. I haven't seen the court so I don't know. I still have some fucked correx sheets so I'd be happy to go and try to clear some of the court but I think the biggest problem is ice.

    Thoughts?

  • I need to go to town afterschool so I can get some grit?

  • If someone is not busy after work maybe they could swing by b&q or somewhere of that nature and buy a big bag of salt grit? Could this be covered out of the subs? I can bring a spade at around 7, but won't have a chance to get salt before then! What you lot think?

  • being a pessimist for a second, salt won't do anything unless we can work it in with a broom and that's going to take ages.

if someone can get there at half 6, with broom/spade and grit and work on the court tonight then we can keep the lights on and i can reimburse grit costs through the polofund no problemo, just need to know before midday as thats the cut off point to cancel. personally i'd rather pedal my MTB in the snow tonight.

  • Lets not do it, i'm bored of being cold...........

  • i think it's a sensible proposition. i'll wait til the wire (midday) to see if anyone can lend themselves to the cold icy night before cancelling though and confirm on here.

  • I can help out by about 7 and can bring a spade and a shity brush! Need lee to bring his good one, but someone else needs to get the salt!
Come on guys what happened to the spirit of polo!
What about playing in a car park as a second choice?

  • Some of us work outdoors and are getting a bit old

  • just by chance, i've managed to acquire a 20 kilo bag of rock salt (thanks polofund). i will try and get down for 7 in the j-burner, probably earlier, and get my grit on. sod mtb, i can do that tomorrow.

    Count me in!

  • Not sure if I will make polo tonight really need to do food shopping ! Plus I have a few other jobs I need to take care of

i'm sorry to all for saying this, but i think that's a seriously cool bike for a great price! almost snow polo ready!

  • Lee bake we need your sweeping skills! Do your shopping on the way home!

  • I can come down early to sweep up court if someone will join me?

  • Will be there around 7ish I think.

  • Anyone wants to create a new polo bike club for bad players so that we bad players can score some times...?!

  • i was in town and at the bottom of the cycle bridge (station end) there was loads of salt grit. i could get some and bring it down?

  • yes, use it, that salt is there for people to use...

  • N-Boy has bought a bag of grit-salt from B&Q, do we need to bring any utensils? Brush? Spade? Spoon?

  • I'll bring a couple of brooms down , what time are you all there i'm going now (ish) . I've just built up my new polo frame and want to try it out and not break anything :/

  • the lights dont turn on until 7.30? i'll go down for 7 ish or earlier..

  • Shitipedia says:

Anyone may use a grit bin to clear a public path or road, though they are generally not intended for personal use

RV, I'll be down for 7ish maybe a bit later
