According to National Rail we have to take the 7:32 to arrive in London Liverpool Street at 8:43, or the 7:51 arriving in London Liverpool Street at 9:15. I'd prefer to take the earlier one so any latecomers have the fallback of the later train.

It's £14 on the train roughly for an off peak day return to Liverpool Street. Depends what time the party is on but I have to be back at a reasonable time because I have lots of work on Monday.
