I think the Langster has issues with the BB it's not the first time I've read about people having trouble. Mine is creaking like buggery, just as I'm preparing to rid myself of it. I think I'll have to stick to polishing turds.
I just swapped mine out tonight. I still sounds like a tractor but that's mostly down to the completely worn to fuck chain/chainring/cog combo. :)

Oh, and surprisingly there was no water in mine, even without a drain hole. Probably because I tend to tip it vertical when I wheel it into the flat and stuff. Water in my rims though.. doh!

I fucking hope not.
No I live in London, therefore it would have been impossible.

Fixed. BB needed tightening. Duh.

I changed my bottom bracket on my Langster at the weekend. As I unscrewed the cups to my surprise I found that the frame had been storing up 1/2 pint or so of manky water.
Any ideas of how to avoid this ?
Don't ride a Langster. (please.)

Save it in a water butt, you could sell it during next years hosepipe ban.
-
• #38
plug the top of your seat post if its a standard Langster one, and invest in a mudguard ;)
-
• #39
Drill a very small hole in the bottom bracket shell and seal all the places where something goes into the frame (seatpost, bottle braze-ons ect.) with vaseline or grease.

whatever you do, don't plant cress, there have been several cases of CRESS FRACTURES on langster frames! Take care!
