im going to chop them by about 15mm on each side because its extra bar that i wont use and the bars on my other bike are narrower so its also for comfort

I have some proper tiny bars and haven't noticed a drop in control. Overall it's made me a much better rider and helps through traffic
-
• #504
Let's face it, you won't be throwing any bar spins so no need to chop!

Lo-pro's need pursuit bars...... Thats all i have to say about that.

I do quite regularly, still no drop in control :D

Try going off road, do some bunnyhops / jumps off stuff. Or try some fixee tricks like keospins or even wheelies. You *will *notice.
Nowt wrong with narrow bars if it floats your boat though. I think christy could go a fair bit narrower before things get "silly".
Nice bike too.

I used to ride crosscrountry when I lived out in the sticks, and I rode them on my trick bike jumping stairs and such, even in the snow there weren't any problems

When I say crosscountry I don't mean racing, I mean I had to ride through some uber rough stuff, and DFP can you do keo's?

I saw the actual track version of this in digbeth the other friday. Was basically the same as Christy's, looks pukka with drops on

Seriously? I just dont go through the city centre too much these days.
To be honest, Im not sure if Ive ever seen you actually on a bike. Maybe you cant ride one either.
We obviously just dont ever cross paths.

When I used t ride fixed I was larkin around with it. Got to the stage of going from a backwards circle -to- back wheel pivot. But never got close to getting the spin going. I only ever had a road frame with super low BB, which made it difficult.

I haven't tried keo's yet. I need to

My ride, I flipped stem back down yesterday and tilted bars back down.
I like it, but want something more classically styled. But £££ is short and not sure where to find a nice older frame in my size as I'm a very tall man
Unless you have a really narrow body, or you enjoy having less control over your bike, or it's just some fashion thing that I'll never understand, it's strange that you feel the need to cut your bars narrower. They look fine at that width.
