Hello,
This whole riding beer and cakes thing sounds good to me!
I’ve moved from downhill mountain bike and after 10 years to road, Initially just to ride to work (Brighton-Lancing) but im really getting in to it, I sold my Kona Stinky - I didn’t want to jump in and buy a road bike straight away as I didn’t know it would be for me so at the moment im riding a Carrera Subway borrowed from my girlfriend, which isn’t actually as bad as I thought! So I was hacking back from work one day and I get overtaken by a guy on a Langster and to be honest I’d never even seen a single speed road bike before, It makes perfect sense, its not hilly on the coast so it got me thinking and looking through hundreds of SS bikes and Fixies but before I buy one I want your advice!
So err is it cool if I come and hang out? Ask some stupid questions? Rather than an off the peg, I have thought about making up my own, it cant be as hard as putting together a full sus.. right?!?I can bribe you with home made cake..

Between Brighton and lancing I only have to deal with the dip at Portslade (only really a hassle if the lights stop you at the bottom and you have a headwind) and over Shoreham's Norfork bridge, of course when i come home I have to ride up Clifton hill but I normally give up and push...
No problem. I'm going to Cambridge for a couple of weeks so see you all in about a fortnight
