Im intrigued, my Rosie has barely left my side since I got it, but if the new hip pouch can carry just that little bit more it would be amazing.
Only slightly bigger but more efficient storage system, and expands more great bags, definitely worth the money, also superb quality, may be interested in you rosie for the right price.

Anyone know of a messenger bag or light backpack that will carry an A3 folder? Fed up of using my military surplus bergen because it's ridiculously large for cycling.

i had the same problem for college
either use a normal backpack and slot it through the straps between you and the bag, but it doesnt work well in the rain. or i bought a levrier greyhound, and i loves it

Have you looked at the list on page one of this thread? I'd suggest the "Courier" bag from Linnells. Its their larger black version of their standard Postie Bag. I'm sure it would hold an A3 folder....and maybe more.

Cheers for that, I did have a quick look but must've missed it. Seems perfect and reasonably priced too.

I don't live in or near London, I'd be willing to pay postage + extra for your trouble though. Is it big enough, and what buckle is it missing?

I used to have that bag, it is absolutely massive! I would say it would hold a3 folder easily. I worked with it for about 6 months, then one of the flap straps did tear off. But for the price it was great. It's very similar to a chrome, possibly a knock-off, who knows.

its the main strap, probably best to go with the actual thing if you are not near london sorry, btw if you say to them you want it as a sample they will probably send you one for free. :)

You're kidding? That's incredible. My mother runs her own business which could plausibly use those bags so I'll get her to write them a more credible letter. Thanks!

lae, no large commercial company makes and gives away things for "free". Its just that they can send you a "sample" and not charge for it. Thats what sometimes happens. The rest of the time, people, or (courier) companies pay for them. You might get one free, maybe, but the defacto method is to purchase them.

Sorry if I was off with you but I did find your post a little condescending e.g. "the de facto method [of getting a product] is to purchase them". My initial surprise was because in my old job I would request samples pretty much every week - half of the companies we contacted said 'we don't think our products are suitable for your business' or something like that, and the rest would always insist on us sending the sample back unless we made an order. I've never heard of anyone actually getting something for free, ever.

absolutely loving my sag air force 1, ridiculous capacity and so comfy on my back, even with heavy loads.

Hi, there. New member, but I've been following some of these threads for a while.
I'm currently using a backpack for my commute to work and it leaves me with a bit of a sweaty back after tackling the hills. So I was looking into getting a courier bag especially with summer (hopefully) coming around the corner!
I'm on a bit of a budget at the moment, so I was looking for some advice of bags upto £80 with some decent space and preferably a waist strap. I also am a lefty and wear my bags across my left shoulder (if that's a problem or not for some bags).
What's everyones suggestions?
Has anyone ordered directly from Rickshaw bags in San Francisco? The pound looks good against the $ at the moment but I wasn't sure of the taxes I'd be charged buying one of these and getting it shipped over.Sorry for the long message. Over and out!
Im intrigued, my Rosie has barely left my side since I got it, but if the new hip pouch can carry just that little bit more it would be amazing.
