Scott, you're advertising the competition? What sort of mercenary capitalist do you call yourself??
Heysoos Creestoe?
-

I'm in competition with nobody. I have respect for all of those companies because they're all little people like me...making bags at home one by one,by hand, with pride and passion, so i'm more than happy to see people buy bags from them.
There's room for us all.As for calling myself a mercenary capitalist...you must have me mixed up with somebody else.

Scott, I have obviously read from the previous that you are a small business, and you are enviromentally friendly in your sourced materials. No proper capitalist gives a shyzah for the earth, only profits, and cheaper labour.
I had expected you to get the joke instantly, but the fact that you didn't, but were still polite, unlike some others that are about to read this reply, says alot about you. Kudos to you, in every respect.
Oh yeah; mercenary capitalists don't advertise the opposition (that's where the joke was), they look to kill off the opposition.

Actually, the size of this list has me for the first time, having a moment's regret.
Scott's bag is volumnous to say the least, and when I look to replace my 17year old Timbuk2, its near the top of my narrow choices. -

I've got a Chicago Wig bag (the olive coloured one with the red stipes in GA2G's link).
If you want to check it out, you can buy me a flaming lamborghini at south or west drinkies. -

lazy monk do very nice shashiko embroidered bags http://www.lazymonk.com
Now i'm normally not one to criticize other bag makers....but $550...i don't care how pretty the flap looks...that bag doesn't warrant that price tag!
No proper padding...polyprop webbing...c'mon!

does anyone know of any other cheap bags, say under £50? the one above is well too big for what i need.
im not a messenger so it doesnt need to be really strong, i just want a bag with the support strap and the comfort of a messenger bag while riding. im not bothered if its fancy, i prefer plain.
-
• #41
To be honest Melon...most messenger bags aren't that comfy anyway....the comfort tends to come from the back padding and strap padding/placement...so finding one that is simple AND comfortable isn't so easy.
I know a lot of people say this bag is comfortable and that bag is comfortable....but most of these people haven't ever used a really comfortable bag so have nothing much to compare to.
If you're not a messenger, get a good backpack if you only need a small and simple bag but want comfort AND good price. -

Try telling people that on CycleChat. MrPaul will vehemently disagree with you, completely dismiss any valid points you make, and then start a seperate thread to try and argue with you.

Can we introduce him to Tynan?
;) -

I put all my money on Tynan. After his performance on the "Muslim" thread, I realise that his ability to argue is almost of a mystical nature. That Paul is toast. Can someone be "worded" to death?
