Aaaa! too many people at work have booked off the week of june 8 to 15 so we need to reschedule.. or leave me behind! Proposed new dates are July 4 to 19. How does that work for everyone?

i think if we can make july, it would fit everyone best. I personally have too many things to handle in that week on the 8th, shows, several exams, painting and strawberry fair.... :))))
i think 4th to 19th sounds good, make sure everyone whose coming can comfirm, and we can get back on track orgonizing this biiaaatch!
should we get rick to pack some goodies for us, and if we end up using them we'll just pay him when we come back for what we used?!

OK R'v. square one I guess. I tried to have workmates shift their dates but flights are purchased and other events are occuring...
So I guess the options are:
June 8 to 21 - Hayden joins for the second week (not a fan of this one but if it works for everone fine by me)
June 15 to 30 ish all but no angelo. (we could sabotage Glastonbury..)
July 4-19 - all but RV joins up later for a quickie but he is our guiding light and moustache mascot. Angelo seemed fine with these dates.
Late July/early Aug.- I think eddie was not a fan of this but let us know ed what your plans are..
August?
December?
2025?
lets hash it out asap. roight. -

Unfortunately July/August are the months I work every day harvesting money from the international visitors to our fair city . Its a drag but it pays for the rest of the year when i just about break even . My job is the best job in the world but does require me to actually turn up and set out my stall and take money off punters. I wish they would just post the money through my letterbox and stop asking awkward questions or turning up just as i'm packing up but there you go. Even the best job in the world does require some effort , like flying out here choosing jewellery off the breasts of ladyboys on the beach drinking martinis . I've just thought though, the bit i was most looking forward to was summer solstice on Orkney and sutherland scotland maybe a late long weekend june to do that , or stonehenge bike ride . Am i going all hippy but i like the idea of cycling all night on the eve of the longest day with the whole sun not setting thing and visiting stone circles ? i am reliving my hippy days of yore but not doing it in stinky diesel buses on acid this time.

Ok money factory no problem.. New Idea#683
Push the trip back one week June 13 to 28 and do twatt to ugley.. Get a lift up to twatt no problem but driver angelo would take off early and we'd be either left to fend for ourselves or find another driver or rotate driving duties to get off the bike. Hmm??

HTFU and fend boys!!
lol.
If I could drive a van and I wasn't going to Italy that week, I would deffo drive for you.

don't like that much....would prefer ugley to twatt.
where will the winds be coming from? north or south?

I think "as far as the forcast is concerned" if we start from up scotland on ride back down, we'll be having headwind/sidewind all the way
as opposed to tailwind/east-sidewind if we start in ugley.
***** How about End of August then???? until mid september or something???

good idea btw, should we do a 23-24 june overnight (shortest night/longest day) ride to Stonehenge?
this would be for fittest of the fit though, you gotta know that you can make it.

Plan solid gold-
Ugley Twatt, end of august early september. Rv its up to you how early we can leave. earlier the better for daylight hours and weather. August 19th or 26th?
Have to say I like the june 23-24 ride but the stonehenge hippy factor is kinda harshing my mellow man. who am i to say though, a couple sheets of acid and its all the same skitzo 4th dimension anyways. whaaa my pores look so huuuge..

What im trying to say is you need to convince me that there wont be any people there dressed up in mideval gear flailing cardboard swords at each other screaming 'don thee great weaponry of thy shining skull. I shall avenge the death of my king scrote on this solstician night of gayness' or something..

I am amazed that people are not thinking of doing the Dunwich Dynamo it would be an ideal opportunity to do a proper long ride. The worst thing about a long ride is the boredom and the aches you get after 100 miles or so. You also need to work on eating and drinking enough to keep going.

ummm, they are http://www.londonfgss.com/thread18452.html
but not sure I am now. -

I'm pretty much completely down with the Dunwich Dynamo. Bottle cages FTW.

I read that the ride to the stones is a geared event,
http://www.londonfgss.com/thread21530.htmlmaybe with an earlier pack leaving for fixed riders . Apparently after Staines there are a number of hills .The only geared bikes i have is the Hetchins or the Paris which i don't fancy using until i've tidied them up . Its only 86 miles from london but they are hilly miles. I haven't been to Stonehenge for summer solstice since 1984 , it was a festival then .

under 70GI gearing in that case.
