Dude, I'm doing a job with the East London Advertiser tomorrow am, you want me to have a word see if they can put something in the paper? I know you are wanting to keep it quiet, but it won't be out until next Thurs.
Really sorry to hear about it, I'll keep my eyes peeled in local area.

Sorry to hear the news. Where was it nicked from, to give an idea of possible location. One benefit of the forum, is that nowhere in london will be safe for the poor, misunderstood young individuals... or the more usual expletive discription if you prefer.

WAC!
You'll get that back Scott.
Out of interest was anything else knicked? You think they came for the bike or just trying their luck? -

Some little c*nt has just managed to sneak into my place and walk out with one of only two big links in the country and one of only nine in the world.
It should be pretty easy to spot so if anybody sees anything please call me on 07815679918...cos i'm pretty f*cking angry right now and would like to meet the offender!
Thanks!damn! that's messed up, and kinda stupid, what are they gonna do with such a bike? be hard to sell it surely... i had my kevlar brooklyn seat stolen outside a pub in dalston and was gutted, i hope you had home and contents insurance!

Scott, see my thread of BL coppers, with their mobile numbers, call them, explain the case.
Also did you have the cops over? Report it! They'll come over and take prints and the like.
Otherwise the bike could end up in a police auction and you'll never know.
Why did they just take that bike? sounds well suspicious or like someone you know or who knows you have it and knows where you live.
Also get on ebay and add a watch thingy so that ebay will notify you every time that type of bike comes up for sale.
Also check out gumtree - the marketplace for stolen shit.
ugh, that's jsut terrible. Such a violation. My bike got stolen from my lounge while I slept some years ago, it was a horrible feeling.
You guys are lucky they didn't take anything else, not that that's much help. -

I'm having fantasies of seeing people riding it while walking down the street, and imaging confronting them. And it wasn't even my bike. Man... Stupid shit news.

am i the only person who locks my bike up even in my own house? it is usually locked to the banisters or at least to a chair.

Bad news mate. I'll let all my cycling colleagues know to look out for it.

But that's just silly. When the chair thieves come round they'll take your bike as well...

There was a thread on here a few weeks back about a guy who thought there was a flat down the street from him that had loads of stolen bike in it. I looked for the thread but couldn't find it. The chaps in the flat seems to have quite a buisness going on. Pretty organized. Could be worth a bit of servailence.

I'm shocked twice. First at the sight of that bike, never seen naught like it.
And those bastards - they could only hock that for a 5er to people don't know. Ouch. Eyes peeled.

That's fucking fucked man.
Must be like 6-7k? At least. And weightwise?
Hope it comes back, i'm certainly not gonna forget the look of it in a while so i'll keep my eyes peeled. Will swing a chain lock.

There are two possible scenarios and unfortunately they both bode ill.
One. That the thief(s) is a random opportunist who hit the jackpot and took what he thought would be the most saleable/expensive bike he came across.
Two. Someone, friend of a friend, acquaintance, neighbour, contractor, agent has cased the bike after having trusted access into your place.
Scenario one sucks because there is a high chance they may come back after seeing all the other bikes in there unlocked.
Scenario two sucks because you guys where so cool about allowing people into your place and your trust was abused.scott, I have a quality high-cap colour printer at my work if you want me to shoot off 30 or so A4 pages with your bike, it's details/crime details and your number that you could give to local bike shops etc. if you want?

we are all thinking it, it is a shit thought but more than likely its someone that has been in your house knows the value but did not know how rare it is and how hard it is going to be to try shift :(
