  • First of all. PocariSweat is Japanese, and its just a sports drink for replacing electrolites after you sweat. It tastes like watery lucozade...it sucks.

Coke make a version as well, its called Aquarius, and it is basicly the same thing.

And the level of grammar required to teach in Korea seems to be rather lower than to teach in Japan!

  • I'm a new arrival to Seoul, being an ESL teacher as well.

I'm having great difficulty finding a good fixed bike. I could be ok with a vintage road bike, but can't find that either. I was able to find a shop that would import a Surly for 1.1 million won (US $800). Being from Minneapolis, I find that hard to justify knowing their hometown local retail. Anyone know any good Japanese companies I could convince him to import? Anyone know any good fixed shops?

    Jordan from Minneapolis,

    Jordan from Minneapolis,

Couldn't you just get someone to send you a bike from the states and make sure it's packed really well? Can't cost more than $150 I wouldn't of thought?

  • Go to the street, I forget what it's called - the really tacky one where all the English-speaking teachers and US soldiers go - and befriend someone in the military. They'll get super-cheap postage from the States...
