I have to be up in three hours but have fucking tinnutius in my ear. Fml.
I have tinnitus as a result of being in a band and clubbing and working with sound every day. Weird thing is that we have done tests with other people who don't have tinnitus and I can still hear frequencies higher than they can. Doesn't figure. Still every night my head hits the pillow and I can hear that super high pitched ringing. If I can't sleep, sometimes putting a radio on very quietly so I can't hear the words helps mask the outside world. Having kids that wake up at 6.30 every morning has helped. It catches up with you!

Doesnt work if I have to take out my hearing aid to go to sleep, and get tinnitus.

No, Lileth, I know your hearing problems are quite severe. Not being able to sleep must be torture. I'm not in a position to offer advice. I hope you are well otherwise though!

I used to work nights and then go to uni.. great combo.
I stuck that curtain lining 'blackout' material up over my window.. completely covered the bastard and it stayed that while for a year or so while I had the night job.
Turn off phones and shit. I'd get calls just after going to bed and wake up panicking with no idea what time it was or what I should be doing. Fucking awesome. At least I don't need lots of sleep.
I know I can totaly live off of 1.5-2.5 hours a night, never get more then 4 but I'm Hosting which means on my nights I'm lucky to get off at 4, I've been drinking, I probably have to go to an after party. Last two nights finished work between 4 and 5 am, got home between 9 and 11 am. once the suns up, no sleeping. I also have a skylight, no way to black it out.
And I'm on my photo hustle all day.
Got tonight off and there is nothing i have to go to. so Its going to be in bed by 10:30, then no sleep all weekend, sleep monday, work tues, wed, thurs, fri nights.
Can't really complain as I get paid to hang out with cool people and cash money is cash money but damn sleep is a nice thing.

some nights, when the sleep won't come, i lie here and imagine what i could be doing with my time rather than trying to fall asleep. tonight, i've been thinking that maybe the ceilings of my flat need painting.
