Parcel Force are c**ts

I got a call from Mercian last Friday saying my frame renovation was ready and I just needed to pay for it, by the time I got back to them it was friday afternoon and the guy said they would post it on Monday. No problem!
So, no frame turned up on Tuesday. Not expected so no worries. Wednesday morning I was at work but got back at 2. Again no delivery and Mercian are shut on Wednesdays!
I phoned them this morning and they were suprised I hadn't got it but thought I would get it today. Come 4 this afternoon I phoned them to chase it up.
Apparently Parcel Force had it recorded as delivered AND signed for, though it was neither me or my housemate.
I live in a gated block of flats so it looks like one of my neighbours signed for my parcel and the driver didn't even fucking drop a note in my door to say who had it!
What a cunt.
Now the driver has an interview tomorrow morning to find out what happened but it looks like my frame has gone. I've been waiting 6 weeks for it, got all the bits for the build and I'm a bit gutted.
Sorry for the rant but I'm not sure what I can do now!

Happen to me with my camera, some prick signed the delivery and kept the camera to themselves (This was DHL), I think really it doesn't matter what courier company it is, there's always some prick screwing it up.

One other point - and perhaps not applicable to you.

When there is an additional charge (any additional charge - customs - postage - tax - etc etc) Parcel force will NOT deliver the package - but they will deliver a note to you (rather confusingly) telling you that they have attempted to delver the package (which they have not) - the delivery will be held at your local sorting office.

Yeah i guess its really gonna be down to Mercian and what kind of small print/disclaimer they have but id reckon that they should have some sort of insurance for this kind of thing or be sending enough large parcels out to have a bit of bargaining power with Parcel Farce at least.

What I don't understand is that Mercian must send bikes worth up to £2500+ so they must put a lot of trust into their delivery system. So if these cunts are unreliable why use them? Or are all delivery companies this bad?

exact thing happened to me with parcel force this week, though for something of much less value,
i contacted the seller they said theyre records had it as signed for...and gave me the name and flat number
went upstairs neighbour had i behind his door had been there for a week and he was bemused as to why i hadnt been round sooner, explained to him that they hadnt dropped a card round. thing his he's the number 1 up from me but he's further away than another neighbour, dont understand the logic.
moral is can mercian not tell u who signed and u can check 192.com or directory enquiries to see where they live

also if u sign for something then it relieves the liability of the courier for damage, ...

DHL are fucking morons. They had a phone of mine to deliver and i missed them the 1st time and then i rang them to arrange to collect it the next day, when i got to the depot the parcel was in a van and another attempt was being made to deliver it at my house where noone was in. I used the website to track it and for 3 days i watched it being "transferred to delivery vehicle" or sumthing similar in the morning, i then waited in for it to be delivered only to see it "transfered to depot" at about 4pm. And they wouldn't let me come collect it because it was "scheduled for delivery".
Wankers.

well, incident like this seemed to happen every once in a while, I always use DHL for my delivery and they cock up on the camera, luckily they compensate that as the driver were in the error, he didn't want to go back to the deport, so he end up going next door, got it signed, hasn't even bloody send me a note!

trouble is, 'next door' can be either side, and they can claim they recieve no such thing, can't tell which's which is lying, bastard.

Whichever way the interview (of which you or any representative of you are not party to) comes out is *irrelevant*.

Example: You are stabbed by a Tesco employee on Tesco's premisses.

Even though covered by a clear and unambiguous protectorate under British Law that protects you from physical harm, you (pointlessly) wait for the outcome of Tesco's own internal review of their employee.

Regardless of the outcome, the action is in breach of British law, do not be drawn into the trick of being offered anything short of what you have contactually agreed to.

+1 if they can't demonstrate that they delivered it to your address with your signature then you're not liable, which means they fucking owe you.

in either case, you should be banging on your neighbours' doors and demanding your frame back. both sides of your flat.

Though an interview of the driver, unless they're a complete retard, would establish the address where the frame was delivered. N'est pas?
