  • I've found this:

    http://www.twowheelsgood-n8.co.uk/

    New web-site or reduced business?

    Hard to tell.

There doesn't seem to be an equivalent site for the N16 shop.

    Does anyone know more?

  • Recent start-up in Walthamstow sourcing environmentally friendly frames and parts mostly from Italy http://www.racerrosabicycles.co.uk/

Their fillet brazed frames look lush - smart website but haven't visited the workshop yet.

  • Colin Lewis Cycles in Paignton Devon is good.

No fixie stuff as Devon is not the place for that but a beautiful range of bikes from full carbon to top range steel lugged bikes. Frames etc. If your down and an enthusiast its the best place in Devon.

Their site sells some stuff but not really representative.

  • So it's my first day in work Monday (eek) at Velorution. Come say hi! I'll be the tall ginger guy.

  • Velorution is doing pretty well/for by this forum. I think that makes you the third forumenger to work there.

  • I'll be in on Monday, buddy

  • Have they moved yet?

  • Great comprehnsive range of bike shops. Can anyone advise of a bike shop that deals in old Raleighs, Team form the 80's

  • find a delorean with a flux capacitor

    Oh really? Who else?

Yet to see boris on his cannondale...

  • Ooops. Be in some point this week.

  • Does anyone know if fullcity is open on saturdays? Need to get some stuff sorted before hitting the tarck.

  • Does anyone know if Allin's of Croydon still exists? I was last there in the early '80's.

    Grateful for any reply.

  • Sadly, its closed down now. Details are here.

  • Yesterday I popped into PUSH CYCLES in Newington Green. I was a walkenger, as I was meeting a friend for a coffee, after some some unfruitful business discussions.

PUSH is a lovely shop, staffed by people I know on this forum, and one of them I've known personally since I've first joined, and went to a West's Drinks. They've got an excellent range of stock. They are dealers for Specialized, and therefore have the Langsters, and Steel Langsters too, as well as geared bikes for every roadie....and I'm sure could order stuff in if one wished.

They sell a wide array accessories and high quality components. Lovely Brooks saddles rub shoulders with Paul equipment. I'd suggest popping in and having a look.

Uniquely, this boutique sized upstairs-downstairs shop, will be an/the official Mercian shop in London. The more I think about it, the more of a magnificent coup I realise this is! Well done guys. So for anyone seeking an exquistely made steel bike, that has a (possibly) higher reputation/regard even than Bob Jacksons, then this is one place to definitely come to. This is one of those makes that one would wish to keep and pass on down through the generations.

Apart from that, its in a good spot, just on the corner of the green, surrounded by coffee shops and a few bars. Those who live in North London should consider themselves lucky. Those wishing to have a look, will find that its less than 15 minutes up from Old Street roundabout.

And, as one can see from the photos, PUSH sell BELK Bags. These come very recommended. Good stuff.

  • Too right, GA2G! Push is wonderful. Not more than 5 mins on foot from my front door. Really helpful and friendly staff who are happy to answer stupid questions without making you feel like a spanner.

A friend of mine bought a bike from there a couple of months ago and has nothing but good things to say about them.

I've been in a couple of times, once to look about and once because of chain-noises. I will be popping back there to get my wheels made for my commuter bike now. Really looking forward to it.

  • ah but will they lend you a spanner ;)
