I've 'won' a couple of their fast-group Saturday rides; one 'victory' in particular was made sweeter by the fact I was riding 28s with mudguards.
Both hollow and shallow, I know, but you've got to get your kicks where you can :)
Like me passing you on that hill on the way to Oxford*..
Don't think I'll ever forget. ;)
*when you were sick, untrained, fixed and I was none of those.

I need to get some miles in on Saturday and so, providing the training does not kill me, I am thinking of a gentle ride on from RP to Virginia Water and possibly Ascot/Windsor. Happy for anyone to join me. Mainly along the river and so flat.

I won't be able to make saturdays till start of dec but will try and get some mid week training in so I am not miles behind come december.
Cliveo , if you go on to Virginia Waters , carry on towards Ascot , take the right turn to Windsor , through the Great Park ( past the polo fields), turn right when you come to the main road, follow into Windsor centre, ( mug of tea at the cafe next to the river ) , come back on yourself for a short while then the Staines Rd, either turn right up the hill to Englefield Green and then a left down to Egham, Chertsey and back to Hampton or carry on the Staines Rd , turning right at Laleham and following the river back to Chertsey , turning left at pub and following road back through Sunbury.
Nice little route for you, nothing steep apart from Englefield Green and a good tea stop in Windsor- what more could you want?

Mac
Thanks. It is a fairly regular route for me. 85 miles from home, 100 if I add in an extra loop. Good for early season distance. Have to be home by 5 pm and so might not be able to do it all but need some miles in. When you are back one weekend, how about it after RP training?
I'm in.
