  • If you go cycling in the woods you're just aspen for trouble. There's a fir chance you'll get injured. Especially if you're riding a Giant (red would be my choice for an MTB though I've never owned one, ever. Green would be my second choice).

why do these threads always start when I'm at work?

  • a few years ago my friend was in the back of a car which span off the road, a fence post went through the back windo, pierced his neck and pulled him out back through the window.

when the car came to a stand still, my friend Liam was missing. going through the seat into where he was sitting was a cast iron spike.
Had he been in the car when it pierced, he would have been killed instantly.

He wasn't wearing a seatbelt, luckily.

They found him 30m down the road, standing upright and walking around with a 0.6m long bit of wooden fence going through his neck.
He can't remember anything from it, but apparently was fighting off the paramedics.

To remove the fence post they had to cut the muscle on the back of his neck and pull the whole thing out that way. It has just missed all the vital bits and pieces by mm's.

He healed up well and kept on racing motocross and riding bmx after. For about a year later he was still picking bits of wood out of his neck and head as it slowly staryed coming out.

He was also in the lads mags and on this morning.

    Sketchy.
