  • id rather have a big tire on the back and a 28 on the front
    maybe even 25

  • Just noticed you can buy those "whisk" forks on their own.. nice looking for the right build, and they're only 50 notes.

  • Sano has really fat hands so needs extra volume up front.

  • i dont think the volume forks suit the bike at all
but they only used that fork to keep cost down
as it wasnt designed by them

  • the forks are shit, deserve to be binned

  • Sorry to restart an old thread, but I've just bought a volume cutter raw (going to be taking the decals off and make it look nice). Was just wondering if I can get a few recommendations for a fork. I'm not really pulling any bar spins or anything like that, and it will be my main ride so I like to have a pretty smooth feel. Hence, I'm kinda shying away from the rigid forks that most people stick on the cutter.
Styling wise I really like classic forks, but not sure how this will go. I was thinking some of the surly road forks, but was wondering about clearance etc as I've always bought frames and matched forks. The frame specs are here: http://www.volumebikes.com/img/cutters/fixed-gear-frame-specs-53.gif

    Thanks for the help guys!

  • handsomedog fork, think 14 bikes co stock them.

  • he doesn't want those, looking for a 'smooth ride'.
EDIT - if it were me I'd buy the ones you suggest Ed and put a fatter tyre donk on it.

  • Just bought a Cutter V3 and i was wondering if anyone knows if the 'Identiti Park' forks steerer is long enough to fit the 56 size cutter. I've read that it is a short streerer but can't find measurements of both the frame and the fork.

Edit - and still have room to barspin (bars not hitting toptube)

  • cutter v2 56cm steerertube was 163mm

  • ...

This will depend on your bars/stem.

Spacers may or may not sort you out but the bars went all the way round on my old bike, and I had no spacers...

    newbie here

I used to have a 57cm old bianchi road bike (fixed set up) and it was maybe a tiny bit to big for me but wasn't uncomfortable at all. I went for the 56cm cutter and it's way too big for me, my balls rest on the toptube with my feet just about flat on the floor! I've got used to it and it's fine now but my next trick frame will be a 53/54. Hope this has helped?

  • I'm after a 50cm V1 in Silver if anyone spots one.
