Well I work for the HSBC and we have the idea that we are part of the bank drummed into are heads relentlessly.
No but I don't use my surname unless its on something official so have just written an "X" in its place for as long as I can really remember.
do you just have the driest sense of humor ever or, when you say you work for HSBC, is that like your other claim to be the real author of the DaVinci code?

In England we write "humour". Let's not allow American spellings to creep in. Thank you.

The other day when every other "UK" bank recorded a loss the price of are HSBC shares went up 2% meaning that we were making a slight profit and passing some of it onto the share holders of the HSBC.
That is one of the scariest statements I have ever read. Please tell me you are not an in-house trader.
I think I may switch to First Direct, I would rather talk to a computer if the staff in the branches are this retarded.
Utter detritus.

On the topic of safe banks I just had a gander at the Lloyds website.
This is what I found. Quite interesting. I never knew about this. I wonder if many islamic people (especially those with a lot of money) would choose this account over a traditional interest paying account.
Different system of mortgages as well.

Go for it. I’ll try not to let the fact that I’m apparently retarded affect the completion of my masters degree.

And while I am here. Why is it you can manage the rather more delicate application of effect/affect but fail on are/our and loosing/losing!!!?!

What kind of fresh bullshit is this? "Meaning we were making a slight profit"? When did HSBC publish its last set of interim results (when profits were reported)? Not 'the other day', but back in August. The share price went up because of market sentiment, not because of profits you were 'passing on' to shareholders. If you work for HSBC you should do them a favour and keep your mouth shut, because you have no fucking idea what you are talking about.

This should read:
"Our share price went up 2% the other day when everyone else was** losing** a lot of money (our shares have still been up and down.)"
