I would guess that EEI might be high up because he posts a lot on the memes thread and rep is dished out liberally over there and it has a lot of posters/viewers.

been here five years and never understood what rep meant, looked at the control panel and there's a few there for posts I have no memory of making.

Nah they're not nergs. Some posts that saw a lot of rep pour in also had a couple of '0' reps, I'd be really surprised if they were nergs.

a zero can be either a nerg or a rep, it's only 0 as the person has no rep abilities so cannot influence anything.
