dude where there's blame there's a claim.
join lcc, get them - through the solicitors they'll appoint for you to take him and the rental firms insurance to the cleaners, get new bike, ride away into sunset a happy man.
Glad to hear your okay though.
less of the wine more the herbal painkiller would be my recommendation.. -

shit mate! i know how you feel. i crashed in to a cab going down a hill a few years back (his fault), i don't remember the crash but the next thing i remember is the cabbie looking down at me on the floor going 'are you out of your fucking head!?' whatacunt
luckily you got all witnesses details, they are your only hope if you want to claim compensation. when i crashed, i didn't bother and i regret it. what part of regents park was it, donut?
edit : if it's a hire car you should be OK. it might be more painful in the morning after the adrenaline wears off! but fuck man, make them pay!! remember, that bastard wrote off your 'carbon fibre colnago' ;)

OOOOOUCH!!!! FUCK SHIT CUNT!!!
What to do now. Bike is (annoyingly) not insured, found out that the car was hired, and he was just some wide boy fronting in his Jag! Wanker!
Any ideas of what to do now would be great, shouldn't be a problem claiming coz it wasn't my fault . . . I may be wrong!
Peas
DThe fact that this is rental actually works in your favour as this is far more likely to mean that the driver at least has third party insurance. If he doesn't then you have another avenue of claim because you could pursue suit against the hire company for allowing an uninsured driver on the road.
Your next steps should be no different from those outlined by roxy and others in the some cunt hit me with 1/2 tonne+ of metal (or something liked that) thread in the private section.
If you haven't spoken to the police, do so before you start drinking or your claim may end up on the silly twat pile.

a couple weeks ago at tea time when i got hit by a vans, i appear to be fine, very sore but fine and was able to ride up to the girlfriend's flat.
the pain got a bit worse as I calmed down and by 9pm it's incredibly fucking painful, middle of the night unbearable.
best to take precaution! you're alive and that's all that matters.

It got trashed. By luck you didn't get too trashed. Be thankful it's that way round as it could've been a lot worse. Glad to hear you're in one piece.
Take this cunt to the cleaners. I'd second cliveo's advice to get a personal injuries lawyer involved as the hire company's insurers will try and get out of any responsibility so you may need to go after him directly.

Thanks Andy, hopefully I can get some cash out of someone. He was a right cunt tho, saying he was gonna charge me for his time and for the damage to his (hire) car! Fucktard!
Already reading the advice on accidents. Fingers crossed.
I just wanna get back on the road asap. Anyone got a nice 53cm frame with a 1 1/8 steerer? (cheap)

Cheers all.

Sounds like it could have been alot worse; witness, hire car (deffinately insured) and police on the scene. To bad about the busted bike.
+1 on the pain killers before bed. Ibrobrufen to take down any swelling.
Take it easy Duncan.

He was in a Jag? Are you fucking serious? Was it silver? Coz I'm looking for a particular cunt in a silver jag so I can kill his family while he watches.

Sorry to hear about your bike. Glad you ok.
Echo all above comments in regards to suing the c u next Tuesday. -
• #74
Glad you are OK mate. To be honest the fact your bike is new is a bonus you've not got years of love in it.
If you need the geezer stabbing in the neck let me know.

This is everything that's wrong with the world that a man can hit a cyclist in a car and then get out and scream at him while he lays on the floor and people walk by and say nothing.
I would not have stood by idly and watched this.
What a colossal cunt. I am so angry hearing about this. We should even it up with a scratch on the other side before he gets back to the hire company.
Bummed about your ride dude - if there's anything I can do . . .
