Sorry but no, thats still looks like an OTP pista with different bars and saddle, think it would need a paint job to rid it of the dirty stigma of being an OTP girlfriend.
I saw a maroon metallic red Bianchi Pista with shiny deep v and simple compound (quill stem with riser, san macro rolls in silver etc.), I didn't even recognised it as a Bianchi Pista until I have a quick butcher at the frame design and fork.
even simply respraying the frame in a different colour while having more or less stock compound can make a different, only to the eyes of someone who know bicycles slighty more than the average can spot what make it is.

this is my " OTP "
Specialized langster , bought as frame and forks NOS 07 year
Fsa cranks 48t , shimano flat /spd
Halo aerorage track wheels with 16tooth dura ace cog freewheel ( sorry )
easton stem and profile bullhorns with tri bars
cane creek tt brake levers
ultegra calipers
mike burrows carbon aero seat post and really light san marco saddle
might offend the purists , but weighs as much as an angels fart and goes like greased weasel shit .

how do you grease weasel shit, and why is it faster than meerkat shit, for example?
i only ask because i'd like to make my fuji that fast, but i think i've been using the wrong kind of animal shit.

you have to try whatever works for you and it helps if you live near a zoo .
I highly recomend using surgical gloves for application . -
• #63
ah right, maybe that's where i've been going wrong. i usually just squeeze a tube of KY into a bag of turds and shake it around a bit, then apply. i'll try your surgical glove method and see if it improves my commute time.

Don't forget to apply some onto your saddle and bars, for anti-theft protection.

Hey Merak, from other posts of yours I gather you were selling your Langster, as you were after a geared bike. So what other fixed-gear or single-speed bike do you still own? Just asking.

Well spotted Mr.Smith. I didn't even know that DuraAce had a 16T freewheel. I feel a purchase coming on, or a right kicking heading the way of someone sending after gooses.

This is for dogs...

Changes:
Chopped Brooks B17
Crank Bros Smarty pedals
Thomson stem
Cane Creek lever
Shimano Ultegra caliper
Bottle-cage (because I want to)
Trad drop-bars
Brooks leather bar-tape:)
Thread derail alert
How you finding the Smarty pedals? I'm going clipless next pay day and was looking at these as well as the usual contenders (ATACs). Are they just Egg Beaters with platforms or are they more reliable?
As you were.
No wait! How long has this Topic Review thing been around?? When posting responses I mean. Is this a new addition? Useful!

^ Finding them excellent thanks, nice and predictable clippyinnyness and clippyoutyness. No accidental releasing. Must say though that I pulled the little dust covers down and there was just a faint smear of dried up grease in there (shaft of pedal to platform) so I repacked it with plenty of fresh grease and popped the covers back in. They are pretty much Egg Beaters with platforms.
