I just took my 48T chainring off and put a 42T on. Skidding is now a piece of piss and I seem better at my attempts to trackstand. I guess it makes sense. I'm doing a lot of miles at the moment and perhaps my legs are too tired midweek to push the ratio I had fixed.

I'm going to stick to 42x16 until I get the techniques nailed before moving back up.

I've gone from only being able to do pissy little hoppy skids to nice long steady ones tonight. Goodbye tyres! Now for trackstanding practice. My cat is not amused.

My usual 8mi route takes me past the Roebuck but that would be too much of a temptation.

Good call. That is what I shall do. That way I get to drink and feel virtuous.

Oh yeah i forgot about the horn Lynx! Don't go out of your way if you weren't planning on heading down anyways as i'm 50/50 as to weather i'm going (but obviously i'll make the effort if you're going to give me the horn...)
