  • It's a residential area- a very expensive residential area.

When you go to renew your licence they take into account residents complaints, police comment etc.

Things like regular complaints from the residents about people getting pissed up outside then shouting, vandalising things late at night will get the Roebuck barred from using the outside area, and will also put a stop to any extended licence that they might apply for.

Lynx- you've behaved like a child before bellowing "do a skid" at every passer by- even those in cars.

This sounds like more of the same.

If you cannot moderate your behaviour and behave like an adult then I suggest you honour your post and find somewhere else to drink.

Only shouted do a skid or do a coast at cyclists. The every passer by wasn't me. I did laught loudly about it. Actually what will happen when corny comes back?

  • No need to lock in the flowerbeds either. There is good parking everywhere.

    Since we're all pointing fingers...

  • I wasn't there and I don't want to fan the flames (and I'm certainly not a drunken role model) but I live across the street from a pub and understand the complaints. It's fun to get pissed and have a great time on the street but it blows goats if drunks are hollering outside your window on a school night. It happens regularly (read almost nightly) here and it sucks.

Not saying that's what happened as I wasn't there, but it was clearly late as the pub was closed and it's Tuesday. Not everyone has the stamina of a fixie-skidder.

That's a load of equivocating caveats but the bottom line is that it isn't cool to make someone else's night miserable to blow off steam.

And +1 to Neil's point about the pub's license; bad behaviour impacts their livelihood. No license, no Roebuck, no fun times.

  • Since we're all pointing fingers...

No finger pointing.. just general observation. Had some local lady come down and ask a couple of times and its not exactly hard to put right

  • I meant pointing fingers at lynx. I decided to point another one. You are cleared...

I agree. No parking on flowers. I like flowers.

  • Since we're all pointing fingers...

Oi! You leave me out of this ;-)

  • Yeah, the flowers are nice... the winter should sort em out pretty good though

  • Oh and since that lady complained i don't do it as much, and move my bike asap to a proper spot when one becomes available.

  • Those benches are good for locking and they now have those little plant boxes with locking rails.

  • Im out for the next couple of weeks for personal reasons... I was so looking forward to a catch up with you crazy cats... Not a good day for me today.

  • what? what? what happened? please tell me you are ok and not hurt or something equally ridiculous to assume.

  • Ian?

  • Do you want some of my sexual healing?
