the cutty sark pub, much nicer, loadsa places to park ya bike.

Thats the one, THE CUTTY SARK. It should be there. Its better for the bike situation. Maybe meet at trafalgar then head to the cutty (down the cobblestone alley) after a few jars?

Bang on thats the place alongside Richard 1st and Greenwich Union one of the better pubs in Greenwich. I may well make this my first meeting with you guys. I work just off the Market so nice and close for me...

Cutty Sark.
Good Points:

• Massive amount of railing to lock the bikes too
  
• Great view over the river in summer
  
• Lots of outside seating, which is good-ish for watching the bikes
  Bad Points
  
• Very difficult to get a beer in less than 10 minutes when the bar is busy
  
• The beer is the usual suspects, nothing inspiring
  
• PDQ machines and kitchen often shut down at random times, usually when the place is busy
  
• In the winter being right on the river it gets very cold if you are outside
  
• The staff are a little grumpy
  Greenwich Union.
  Good Points:
  
• Great beer, very wide selection also
  
• The food is great
  
• Very friendly staff
  Bad Points:
  
• The railings nearby/opposite are all private residences, and I don't think they would appreciate lots of bikes locked to them. I might be wrong. You can take your bike out the back and put it in the beer garden though.
  
• The food is not BOGOF style cheap.
  I prefer the Union, but the bike parking issue is a big one- I shall pop in and speak to them, then report back.

Don't think so but there is doubt over the Union if it's one one I'm thinking of.

The thing with being barred is no one ever remembers who you are so it's kind of pointless.

I'm happy to go to any pub as long as it's chosen for the right reasons.

make it on a day that doesn't conflict with north, west, south beers, then people can do a weeks tour of honor! Hitting each session. Wooah!

Which means that Tuesday would be a good day, it being Trixie Dix/Chix, no drinks- as far as I am aware anyway.

I think Dick 1 is next to the Greenwich Union.

the Union is a really nice one their really good about bikes, i've seen a couple inside the pub, and they have some fantastic beers, a load of great stuff from some small micro breweries around the uk. not bad price either.

Her indoors has a studio around the corner from the union, so we could dump some bikes in her place if there are parking issues.

That's why I don't go to South drinks.

mmm ok so did anyone decide where we drinking ? personally I don't care as long as the bikes are safe, and the beer is cold :)
