  • If I wasent so afiliated with North Drinks I would be there. That is (other than the Dean Swift) my local work pub. I may start poping in for one or two before heading up north though. Will anyone be there at 5.45 tonight?

  • As a an ex-Bermondsey girl I may well be up for this, can't make tonight, but up for future jaunts - we can throw things at St Michaels pupils (my old school)

Cant remember what the lockup situ is, but can check tomorrow if no-one else has by then

  • There are railings and lamp posts outside. I will pop in but only very breifly.

I'll try to make it for then, might have to forego my normal setting off with fag in mouth if I need to get up to speed fast though.

  • Good to meet Charco, VeLLo, and good to see TheBrick(Tommy), and MultiGrooves (jammy sausage had his bike parked up inside the pub; with landlord's permission).

    Here's the lowdown:

Decent music, from a powerful and bassy system.

Good food, but ribs, not burgers [Multi can you sweet-talk the publican into offering burgers?]

Good, noisy-ish atmosphere, with people really enjoying a good vibe.

Not much room for bikes, BUT across the street, in easy reach and full view, are loads of railings. I locked my Capo there, and my lock is shit. Kept an eye on it, and all was good.

Oh yeah, the beer was good and cold, and the bartenders (for those who find these things important) where quite attractive. Okay, I meant the female ones!!!

    :))

Hi man, good to meet you too!
I agree to what you said on that place, good one! And yesterday it was cool to ride back from the drinks wiht Charco, Multigrooves and TheBrick!

See you there in January I suppose!

    Loic

  • Nice to meet you too GA2G.

    See you guys in January.

  • Nice one. This looks good, North drinks is too far for me.

  • Looks like my rugby training might be moving to a monday night after christmas so I might be able to make it down..

Dunno if I'd be able to afford going to Souths and the SEs two days in a row.. Might have to be every alternating each week..

  • Sorry for the non response yesterday didn't go online.

I really liked it last night- good company and very good vibes in the kings arms

@GA2G: I'll have a chat to see if the burger situation can be remedied. And yes, there are some tasty bitz and pieces serving behind the bar- I told Johnny what you said. He says: come back! :-P

  • I shot off before the rest of you turned up- looks liked I missed a good evening.

Are we going to designate this the site of future SE tomfoolery?

  • I'll have some of this in the noo year.

  • Is there any boy eye candy behind the bar? (dont tell MOC)

  • So the general consensus is to move SE beers to this location.

@ clefty the barman is so-so & as i won't be there again untill the 8th i guess tommy is top ranking eye candy

  • I think there is a possibility of a MOC Mk2 behind the bar.....if MOC-1 ever acts up.

[Grenadians are known trouble-makers; I can't let them down]

    :))

  • Ginger love...

MOC is as good as gold, but it's nice to have something to look at when he's not around and besides I'm a terrible flirt, sometimes it gets me free beer.

  • Wasn't going to head down there till New Year, but was just checking..............who's on for a pint later?

  • Honestly.

My Leprosy has really cleared up!!

  • Oh dear........my leprosy has flaired up again. Bad timimg. :))

But, on the good side, I'm already full of alcohol!! Work has plied me with beer and champagne all afternoon. Fook knows how I'm going to get home!

  • I prefer this venue as it's a decent ride and I don't have to ricochet down Archway Hill after 5 pints.

  • If everyone's leprosy has cleared up, i should be around tomorrow from about 6pm onward if SE drinks is back on?

  • I shall be there my leprotic friend- we could book a table for the "Unclean Cyclists"?

  • I'll be in like Flout.

    ;)

See you there tomorrow. But I'm a late arriver (8:15pm-ish).

  • Hope to arrive at some point too.

  • might pop over for 1 or 2 as I work near here before I cycle up to north drinks possibly, depending on whether I do a hill ride that is, be coolto meet new peeps
