Will be in after a 60-80 minute evening ride. Pizza definitely, beer maybe. I maybe had too much beer in Belgium which I didn't think was necessarily possible.

If work is good, I'm heading straight home; if work is really really bad I'm heading straight home (whenever I get out), if it's a middle manageable kind of awful, I'll swing by.

Well yes but I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt in the hope that he'll come by, drink beer and redeem himself :)

No mate, I've sold out/actually taken steps to preserve the work of dead frame builders by taking my good steel AC out of action by replacing it with a swathe of American/Czech
Alu's. -

BELIEVE THE BOOKS. DRINK THE BEER.
I know what you mean, but friendly faces are the best thing for a happy and speedy recovery. It won't hurt him to come along and say hello, get a few hugs (ok maybe CB hugs would be a bad idea....) and lift his spirits a bit.
The very worst part of recovery is the boredom.
EDIT: I am aware I'm not aware (how ridic that even makes sense) of how bad bruce's injuries were, but surely the man is mature enough to decide whether he can cope with a short social visit or not?
and I'm not actually advocating beer for healing in any way. I mean you knew that was a joke... right?

My default position is that if it comes up in a ludicrous google image search, it should probably be disregarded. so I don't think beer is really medicinal and I would suggest focussing on healing, not fun.
but that's much harder to some up in a .jpg. -
