Also if I bring somewhat experimental carrot cake will anyone eat it? It's not disastrous but not great either. Too much oil in the cake and the butter/cheese/icing stuff is a bit lumpy. I've had quite a lot of it already and it's ok...

Exactly my thoughts. Last time I went to a carling weekender, it was still a carling weekender. If I say "it used to be better back in the day" I'll be one of those prices who says "it used to be better back in the day" so I'll keep that to myself.

I think for RaR, we're the token electronic/indie act. I'm not sure fans of Avenged Sevenfold et al will flock to see our set but we'll find out on the day I guess.
