There were showers?! I don't think any of us were that extravagant but most of us used the luxurious toilets. I think the windows looking out onto the fields were a nice touch - not often you get a loo with a view.

I did mention them in my original post about it! I say 'them', but it's a massive tower in a clearing with a big rainwater tank on top. You pull a rope and the water comes down a pipe and through a big shower head, covering you with freezing water. There's a gate at the entrance and if it's shut you don't go in, to avoid nudity-related embarrassment. It's all very nicely executed and great fun, it really wakes you up!
