Oh actually I need to come to the pub to try and talk my housemates into feeding Mia steroids while I'm in Devon tomorrow and Thursday :D
Sounds like a job for unemployed one!

I am going camping at the weekend so there will be even more opportunities for feline medication!
(I will find a cattery if you guys can't be coerced with beer though)

Shall I get a batch of 'not for Iain consumption' stickers made up, just in case he finds catroids tempting?

I'll be back home on Thursday so can't do it then. Happy to help out at the weekend.

I’m in for this evening. If it’s raining and I don’t play softball then I’ll be there at a reasonable hour. If it’s not raining and I do play softball then I’ll be there with a baseball bat.

softball bat.
-
• #19634
No, baseball bat. We're too street to have the right equipment.
-
• #19635
fair enough. I could have done with a baseball bat on this morning's commute.
-
• #19636
I can lend it out for a price.
I’ll get working on some sort of quick release bat-holding device... -
• #19637
fabric rings around top tube with some kind of popper thing for easy release. job done.
-
• #19638
Hopefully not this sort of baseball bat quick release...

Boom. I'll get to work now.

Where did you get that photo of my match last week?!?
-
• #19641
Yo! South Easties! The Grand Slam is looming! Are you settled on your new home or what?
-
• #19642
Yeah why not. Be aware that the approach to the pub from the west is like staring death in the face so caution is advised...
-
• #19643
it'll be easy, and early in the day so I'd assume there wouldn't be too much bike on car action..

The box junction outside the Albert has to be one of the gnarliest junctions in town. Just need to be aware that its a free for all for the cars. They will NOT be looking out for cyclists! Sometimes better to just dismount and walk your bike across the road.
I reckon they need to put some lights in if at all possible. Won't be long before something bad happens. Beyond the numerous car crashes that I've witnessed while in the pub.

safest approach is from lewisham way down florence road, but gives you a bit of gratuitous incline.
-
• #19646
I only just realised it is Tuesday!
-
• #19647
Hooray!
-
• #19648
if you take the lane on the approach and signal traffic from behind shouldn't be a problem just expect cars to pull out on you from the right and for oncoming cars to turn left without indicating.
or ride 20yds to the ped crossing and walk back up to the pub.
