There wasn't even much rain! No heavy rain at all, clear views, sod all wind. I went solo, just up to box hill. Early on passed a trio on their way to Brighton, thought of joining them but I didn't have any food on me, and they seemed a bit slow up hill. Stopped to lend someone an inner tube and tyre levers on box hill and he snapped my tyre lever!!
Nice to get out though, I've been itching

Your ride sounds much more fun than mine. But I have learnt that rides when you were up for 22 hours the day before and had beer and crisps for dinner are not that good an idea. I think I nearly experienced le bonk for the first time. (I didn't, though; settled for riding exceptionally slowly instead.)

Damn, I knew it... Never would have got chores done today though, had I gone along. Glad it was alright for you once out there
