so what happens when you press the on button?
-
• #16353
Checked it over, got half my room covered in dust but all in vain.
Shit man... That was a £65 psu :( -
• #16354
so does it work?
-
• #16355
Nope... Think a small part of it's busted. When I flip the switch off the sound gradually dies out over a few seconds. Going to take a stab in the dark and guess a smal power surge is to blame... Delicate little circuit board or somethings probably blown.
Oh well.
Time to make a purchase ---->> -

I think I'm probably out this week despite my talk of leaving for Land's End with a hangover but I am intending to swing by on the return leg next week. If anyone wants to join me I'll be riding back from Bristol on a yet to be determined route on that day. (Hopefully it will be determined tonight.)
-
• #16358
I'm out for tomorrow too...will be away for a few days.
Well up for joining you for some riding Rosie unless I've got work stuff to do. Let me know what your plans are for this weekend and next week once you know...
If on the way you are passing through Cumbria or Derbyshire let me know as I *may *be able to find you somewhere free to stay with friends of family.
-
• #16359
I hope I don't pass through Cumbria... I'm supposed riding to Land's End and back :I
-
• #16360
...I thought you were doing LEJOG and back!
I was whingeing to somebody this morning that I wished I could afford the time to go with you for the whole route as I was so jealous!
-
• #16361
Just realised that I could do with visiting Bristol next week as some of my Argentina friends live there. Might ride down, visit them and then ride back with you.
-
• #16362
Lejog and back in 7 days might be a bit beyond me.
I will post an itinerary for the whole thing, once I've actually got one.
-
• #16363
The unoffical record is 5d21h. Mental.
-
• #16364
I'll have a go once I've done lolelo.
-
• #16365
Thats an overall average of 12mph over the 5 days. I'd like to have a crack at beating 5d21h as part of a relay.
Should still be organising a LEJOGLE for next summer with a bit of luck. Still really tempted to make it a relay assault on the record.

I meant a go at a leisurely pace with pub stops and things. None of this going fast nonsense.
-
• #16367
Wuss.
-
• #16368
pfft. so says the lolelo bailer.
-
• #16369
Does this mean you need somewhere to stay in Bristol Rosie? Let me know if so. My mate Eamon has quite a few spare rooms in his place in Bristol and would be happy to put you up for a night.
-
• #16370
cheers, I may take you up on that. I have a few friends in Bristol so I'll prod them first.
-
• #16371
in for tomorrow but as per not until the late shift (pre-Dover Castle though). Rosie I can do you a bed near Plymouth and several mid-Somerset if you need.
-
• #16372
Ill probably be in again tomorrow!
-
• #16373
I'm thinking to pay a visit and hope to make it home safe. Which is unlikely, judging from my last experience.
-
• #16374
Don't forget to get drunk and send overly loving visitor messages to Katie-Coo y'all...
-
• #16375
why?
Heard of countless cases of this! Dodgy cheap soldering sounds about right. Buit a custom pc for Minkfarmer 2yrs ago and it's never had a problem. Anyone got a mid-range 2yr old Mac with no issues for £500~?...
Thats whats baffling me.... The light in the psu rear switch is still twinkling away and its nowhere near the end of its life. Always kept it clear of dust and it's only been running at about 50% capacity.
Playing one night, turned off, went to sleep... wouldnt power up next morning ;(
Desperately need it up and running again for a very very important skype conversation this week
