  • Me and Xander are like the crows of the tower of london, if we ever both left at the same time, then the kingdom would fall to the french or some shiz.

  • so? i've met the french, well Loic, they seem alright...

  • the problem with the french is unlike lightening they're more than happy to strike in the same place twice.

  • Come to the epic bbq then!

  • No! come to my birthday!

  • Still not decided what to do for my birthday but that besides the point!

  • the problem with the french is unlike lightening they're more than happy to strike in the same place twice.

Hatbeard fall on your sword now, that was awful!

  • If you have your party on the Friday then I'm there like Yogi Bear.

  • I'm over 30 I'm allowed to tell as many bad jokes as a I like.

woe betide you all if I ever manage to impregnate an unsuspecting woman and get my license to tell proper dad jokes... seriously people would die from cringing.

  • So, someone start a list of events on the same day and locations... then we can decide (or ride between them ?)

  • braker, have you finished your fixie skidder yet? what's say we try and get some fix in the mix... i have done this twice on carbon and gears... i think it is about time to do it properly.

  • I'm going fixed I think. Quite fancy chalking up my first fixed 100

yeah, lets do it. i have done 80 relatively flat miles (to clacton) but this is 120 not very flat miles... will be a challenge.

  • I don't think there are any badass climbs though. I'l look at the route a bit closer and see.

My only worry is being left behind on the descents if everybody else is riding geared.

  • ^just unhook your chain at the top of each hill. simple.

there are lots of climbs, some of them pretty tough if i remember correctly...

or just put unclip, stick your legs out and go WEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! down the hills.

  • I don't think there are any badass climbs though.

No unmanageable gradients, plenty of rolling with a noticeable drag out of Alton. I'll be doing it geared because I'm weak :)

  • Hmmm....I think I'm going to make my decision closer to the time. I should be more hill-fit by then but I also have to take into account the fact that I'm a total pussy.

  • Jonny and shoots did it fixed last time, but met us just outside London making the mileage a little more manageable. Definitely doable!

if those 2 no marks can pull it off it must be a doddle.
