nice! but you can only get them in Oz it seems :(

Because Smallfurry doesn't live in the UK, his lists show bikes from other countries also.
I differentiate this information, but he doesn't. Different styles is all.Having their product shown in this forum may make Avanti think about exporting, if there is interest.

I do try to note when things are fromn the US etc. But as I live outside the EU, I pay import duty regardless. Despite sourcing my SS MTN frame from the US, I do try to be massively bias towards UK companys ;)
I quite liked that avanti at first. The spec is pretty basic but then not everyone want to spend alot on a 'niche bike'.
Seems bloody long though.
My Longboard size small has a ETT of 56cm, the Avanti's ETT (size small) is 59cm. I can only speak for myself but I'd probably be running that with a 60cm stem and near 3-4cm of spacers, which seems less than ideal. Might be perfect for somone though, I suppose.

The Haro Mary is availible in the UK and has a similar spec. Althought it does have a slightly steeper HTA and a slightly slacker STA. This could be a good thing, it kinda depends were you are riding.
The new black colour scheme looks pretty good.

Smallfurry, put the nappy-changing on hold (your baby will grow up and be none-the-wiser), do list updates instead. ;)

Its work thats the problem, since the recession kicked I've had to justify my existance (pffft!). Been adding a fair bit to the frames list (although not so much updating)
Come over from the OTP side, and join us on the DIY side.
mmmwwwaaaahahaha!

What about the Haro Mary SS? Its now at several different places for less than £450.oo.
A good all-purpose 29ner. I like it. Though, brakes apparently have some lag, and the fork is apparently incredibly stiff. Slackish geometry may suit commuting better than all-out MTB-ing.
I've got one of these, brakes are awesome, i've got a pair of Avid Juicy Carbons sitting here but i'm keeping the BB5s on, they are really good, plus I like the simplicity of mechanical brakes. You're right about the fork though, ridiculously stiff, stifest fork i've ever used on any bike no doubt about it.

Looks like they changed it quite a bit, and the fork was swapped out also. maybe too many complaints.

Really don't like that version, the bent top tube and the silly paint job just ruin it for me.

Added. The belt tensioning system looks a bit more user friendly than on the one on the Spot-Brand. The build is very similar to a OTP Longboard too. I just prefer the Longboard frame.
Also, looking at the specs and geometry, I prefer the new Haro. I think they twicked it nicely.

Felt Nine Solo 29er (yours for a mere thousand pounds....a two year old bike)
Only mentioned, as all 3 sizes are stocked, and on sale. Remarkable pricing though.

Only mentioned, as all 3 sizes are stocked, and on sale. Remarkable pricing though.Depends on the quality of the frame I suppose. The forks and brakes are decent enough. Its hard too comment on the felt branded parts. I dont think its a massive rip-off, but its right up against bikes like the Kona big unit. The Kona looks nicer (IMHO), and is similar in spec, but has a magic scandium frame and Fox fork. I know which I'd go for.

What are the current options in terms of ss mtb frames with EBBs? All I can find at the moment is the Dialled Love/Hate and Singular Hummingbird, is that it?

My Haro Mary has an EBB, dunno if you can buy the frame only though.

They have one of the beasleys on the bay for sale.
I have missed 5 bikes so far, just bad luck. i refuse to move my budget up.
They had a karate monkey 29er3 years old go for £240 fully built. the parts weren't great but £240 in good condition. i could have cried!
