Don't know about the Brooklyn gloves personally as I have never tried them, but I have owned/still own various pieces of 661 body armour over the years and it is very good quality and value for money IMO. The only way you will get better is if you go for Dainese which is better but arguably not so much better as to justify the significantly higher price tag, but if you want the best, then I would go as far as to say a mix of Dainese and Forcefield is probably about as good as it gets when it comes to body armour. Forcefield armour is really light but offers amazingly good protection thanks to some really innovative material they have developed, its also highly breathable and they use coolmax liners to stop you sweating/stinking and retain comfort as much as possible, which is great when you are wearing your armour for long periods of time.

What I am really excited about though is the introduction of a material known as D30, google it, amazing stuff, its gradually being introduced into the snowboarding world for protective purposes at present.

The velcro is a big issue. The only way forward is to replace the velcro completely. I have the short finger glove too with the same issue.
I have found that the stitching is also pretty dodgy. I have had to re-stitch mine in places.
I have also come back from quite a few rides with a black face and hands, because the dye is not very permanent, even after a year. I am a sweaty bastard though.
The good points are that they are really comfortable once you get them worn in. They are also very durable and grippy.
spagettihoops says that they are silly....

you are very sweaty Jay!
I have 3 pairs, two mitts and 1 pair of the long fingered. Apart from the velcro issue I love mine
I've only ever suffered the dyeing problem around the wrists rather than the actual glove itself.
The main thing for me is that they dont go all smelly like other mitts tend to.
The long fingered ones are great early spring/autum gloves, but I'm back on my mitts now.
I find the leather on the white/red ones a little softer than the black ones as well.
Hope they sort out the bloody velcro problem. -

you could all just sew a press stud on in place of the velcro if you're having problems.

But that would stop him making your bag!
(I like velcro. might be better to send them a link to this thread so that they sort out the quality issues.)
Just shut up Hoops!

i would love a pair of knogs that read HTFU CUNT, FUCK LIFE or HARD ARSE
they look like nice gloves, i've been looking for some black fingerless bike gloves similair to that for a while.
i have also found that ironically some wheelchair gloves do the job well

I'm stuck out in the countryside atm but thinking of buying a pair of these over the net
bit confused over sizing though - could anyone who's got a large pair perhaps do me a favour and measure round their knuckles?
Cheers, Nathan

thing is mate, it will feel like it's 1 or 2 size too small, but give it time for the glove to break in, then it'll feel comfortable.
try not to go for glove that feel comfortable immeditally when you wear them, and end up stretching a bit, it'll be very loose.

I've had no velcro problems
:(
Sixsixone FTW :)
Their new Raji gloves look excellent too, bit lightweight for winter use but nice looking summer gloves!
