I bought it as just the frame set, its set up with DA cranks and post, Mavic Krysium (or Aksium?) front wheel, sytem x on an old mavic touring rim at the back (soon to be replaced) stubby d/h style stem with risers, in that pic its got a chopped brooks but now running a white wtp bmx seat. Freewheel 49/16 cranks are 180mm dmr v12 pedals.

    freewheel?

where's your rear brake then, soldier?

mind you, go fixed with those pedals and 180mmcranks! and you'll know all about pedal strike

  • finally got meself some new handlebars, and brake levers so heres a picture of my baby.

  • Rode the flyer a couple of time and love the ride, only thing is I need a bigger seatpost. Think the one supplied is 250mm. Anyone know where i can get hold of one of these in London?

  • That 'Track Vicar' would look ace with an actual vicar on it.

Iv never ran 2 brakes on a road bike. Front brake only ftw.

  • @ buster Just order it from Parker! I got a few things from them, not had a problem yet, and it usually comes quick too. Even on the 2nd class free postage option.

    it's rather stupid.

    and illegal

  • Iv never ran 2 brakes on a road bike. Front brake only ftw.

why? what's the possible logic behind this?

  • Why not? Its my bike.

  • I rode a freewheel with no brakes and stopped with my foot. Completely illogical, but hey, it was my bike so why not.

    repped.

  • Because if you ever crashed in to anything/anyone it would be because you can't control your bike, therefore liable to get a shoeing.

  • no it's ok. it's his bike.

  • I'm sure the cops will agree..

  • pretty sure i can stop just as quick if not quicker than most brakeless fixed riders. and the cops can bite my banger. i ride brakeless on my bmx n never been stopped.

  • if you do it on your BMX then it must be OK for a road bike.

thank fuck for that, it was touch and go for a while there..

  • aye just like if you do it on the track must be ok for a road bike?
    grow up.

  • that's a flawed argument, and untrue, as I don't run a brakeless track bike with 90GI on the road.

I'm 36, I think I've already done enough growing up, but thanks for the advice.

I agree that your argument is flawed.
Please tell me to grow up...

  • platini, you are already very, very old.

  • Shh!

  • and the cops can bite my banger

Might get let off with just a caution if you throw that one in

    Good for you.
And to the people who are running brakeless track bikes on the road with 90gi and who feel safe doing so then good for them too.
I ride what i ride because i like it, because i feel safe doing so and because i have yet to cause anyone any injury by doing so.

PS. May i inquire how many people who do run a brakeless track bike with 90 gi on the road you have berated for doing so this year? Just out of curiosity.

  • sometimes novice remove their rear brake on their freewheel bikes for aesthetic purposes, and are unable to stop properly as a result. that's the only reason I mentioned it.

the reference to brakeless 90GI was in reply to

just like if you do it on the track must be ok for a road bike?

because that's what "I do" on the track.
