Mark, I'll be rolling down from Stoke Newington to Brick Lane at about 11:45. Will send you a text. Any word from Andy?

Just talked with him. He's on his way here to grab my spare wheel (should be here in 20 or so), and then he's heading to Johnny's. Told him I'd text him when we're about to head off. Sounds like we may leave before he's ready though.

OK. We can knock around at Brick Lane and wait for him. Jonny lives this end of town, right?

Thanks Aidan. It's probably just as much use to you (and your wheels) that I have a brake.
And sure Tom. I'll tell Andy that when he arrives.

Results in for
BAD Polo vs. Malletov Cocktail:
5-0
5-1
5-1They were good games on a court no-one had played before (Newington Green - Harper Road SE1) Nice courts, if a little slippy according to horatio! The games were fast, some very astute passing from BAD, and some brilliant blocks by Horatio and Lebowski. But in the end the scores say it all. Enjoyed reffing anyhow.
Also, Lebowski, there's no rule about the other team coming over the halfway line after they've scored, gone back and tapped out, I think you're getting confused after banging your head in paris.

HA! I hate that rule. If I had to suggest a half court rule it would be that the scored upon team couldn't let the ball pass half court until the scoring team has returned to their goals. Like a game 'reset' of sorts.

Mike, I though that was how we played anyway.
-
• #994
Yeah, that's pretty much what we play here though, in throw-ins and that's what i was reffing today.
If you concede a goal, you get the ball out of the goal and stay behind the halfway line until the scoring team has tapped.
Andy was clearly confused.

Good games indeed. Malletov have lost their well-earned first place position, but will reclaim it (when we start a splinter league made up of us and Los Conos).
The court wasn't slippery for turning, just not stoppage power when skidding. Which resulted in me running into fences and Dave a few times.

Yep. I just think it's only been implied, not written.

What you saying Horatio? Cheeky git! We may be at the bottom of the league for now, but a lot could change over the next few games if we start 'subbing' our original players.

i'm available for weddings and bar mitzvah's but not subbing.

Nah, you're getting it all wrong! I just enjoyed our game so much I thought it'd be a great league if we could play you every fortnight! That's all.
