fwiw, for the next league, I would like to see league games happen in a regular place at a regular time. It would make it much easier to go see games and to get support at games if they weren't all over the place.
Just throwing this out there for people to think about when we look back on how this first league works.

why not games in Broadway and throw-ins in NE,
they are only 8min away, when people finish the games roll to NENo! I will not be bullied out of something we've already arranged.
It won't even take that long FFS.

Hops, you're not being bullied. You've arranged something that we agreed we wouldn't do, to avoid the league games interfering with regular throw in games.

Wow. This is a whole lot of whining (especially since NE is usually pretty dead at 1pm).
But whatevs. I'll play elsewhere. Not Broadway though. It's shit for league games.
Max, want to take both of our league matches to Boleyn Road? Then we can watch each other, and cheer, and have fun. We'll leave NE to those "other" people. ;)

• #732
im showing up at ne at 12, may ride to boleyn if people are moaning.
-
• #733
I'll be moaning. Then cheering. Then giving you a frame.
Er....League in between throw ins? I think NE can accomodate 1 league match a day. -
• #734
+1 1 match per day, ours is at NS court SE1 at 11, then we'll roll to NE for throw-ins.
-
• #735
Well, if we're going by that rule, Malletov called NE for this Saturday over a week ago.
-
• #736
other team can go to broadway, it's not like it's far, or boleyn.
-
• #737
Max, we're not turning up til 1pm, I'm sure you'll see off the MT's before we even get there!
And Boys, don't panic! Our games will not eat into your afternoon, I promise. It'd be lovely for you to cheer us on too.
I'd also like to be around for some thrown in games afterwards. Not often I venture up NE! (Or even cross the river these days...)
-
• #738
1 league game per day at NE?
-
• #739
Don't be a bully gabes. Sick Buckets will be playing before 1pm. It's gonna be pissing down and I don't imagine many throw in players will turn up anyway.
Broadway is shit for league games, and max wants spectators, hence why they've chosen NE

It's hardly bullying hops. I just think, knowing a lot of saturdays get pretty busy at NE, that more than 1 game may cause a bit of an issue. Malice's first game was there, and it went on for a bit and people got pretty impatient. After all, it's a throw in day, that's how it started, and I think it should be kept that way.

• #741
+1 ...BUT, its just for this week. so fuck it.
-
• #742
hops, you should give shins a cuddle, he's convinced me to stop being a moany old cunt. sorry, i need coffee.
plus, it doesn't really matter as I'm playing polo 5 days this week!

Nice, Sometimes.

• #746
Hah.

I'll also add that in the beginning people seemed to be ok with league games on the regular courts if they were early enough not to interfere with pickups.
I would personally suggest that you guys up your games at least an hour earlier just in case. That's just my opinion though.

The newington court hops mention has two fenced in identical courts, they are really great but we won't know what the local use is until we rock up i guess.
p.s. Hops didnt arrange she's doing what she's told, she is the away team remember. -

When is the Zombie-BAD game Brendan?
-
• #750
I'm up for SE1, but don't know about the rest of the team. Boleyn, if good, is also fine with me.
Also - anyone know of overpasses in London similar to Stalingrad in Paris?
Sounds like a plan Rik.
