Chucking mallets is against the rules to begin with. Though loosely enforced...
-
• #128
hops was there some cheating going on...oh dear.
No not at all. If anything it was us who cheated.. the goals at Boelyn are really low and easy to hang on to ;-)
I was just trying to pre-empt any mallet throwing from a zombie!
-
• #129
we all know* loosely* what the rules are. all depends how much of a sod you wanna be.
-
• #130
Yep. I think I accidentally put my mallet through Jack's back wheel. SORRY JACK!
(eta: I think Jack accidentally put his back wheel into my mallet. IDIOT.)
;-)

there hasn't been any mallet chucking from anyone (especially the zomb's) for ages.

I know, I'm just scared of zombies in general.
..and in any case, you'll be re-building my wheels :D

When SD have home games at Boleyn, hand on the goals (except for retrieving ball after goal scored) = tap out.
Mallet throwing is lame, and should equal double tap-out at least.

This coming fortnight games are...(Oct. 16. to the 25th)
Malice International vs. The Sitting Ducks
Come on, Malice, what's your call?
-
• #135
To be fair, Jo didn't realise that hand on goal was not allowed, having never played at a court with proper goals. The only other games we've played were at the tournaments where cones were used.

results from last nights games
as JOL said, loads of fun despite the slick conditions. and Yorgo wins for being the only one to stay on his bike :)
I had no choice. Falling on my knee would have been pretty painful. Slippery as hell - I was glad when we finished playing!
Good games though - you guys were passing between each other rather nicely. -
• #137
Jihad, I know you guys just played last night, but when are we playing our next game? Tom is away next weekend ?(24/25th), so it's either this weekend or early next week?
-
• #138
I think the plan, if possible, is for us to play Monday or Tuesday evening. I know that Dave is away this weekend.
I fly to Nigeria on Thursday, so either we could do any evening this week, or Monday, Tuesday (Wednesday at a push) next week.
Andy, I'll be back for the tail end of the next fixture window too - 3rd November - so maybe that can be arranged once the fixtures are announced.

Tues is good for me.

Great. So we'll need a court with lights. Your call as it is your home game.
Central St?
Broadway Market?
Bath St? -
• #143
i vote for bath st or b-way market
bath st might be a bit small, but has a good surface (if it rains!) and a good wall/cage
-
• #144
Either is good. We need to test Bath st for size. Weekend?
-
• #145
I'd be willing to give it a test run - saturday afternoon?
-
• #146
can't do saturday polo till after 5... maybe rotate courts and try bath st for thursday NE polo?
-
• #147
