Saw two youngns mashing down corporation street this afternoon on white track bikes and wanted to shout "Go on!" in a real brummy voice, so more like "Goo on!" but alas I couldn't due to work commitments so "Go on!" to you whoever you are... looking good out there.

Saw the two lads, with the fort and the plain white frame in the bullring at 19.00. Shouted 'do a skid' but alas, no skid was done.

they never do! you just get gawped at...

The guy on the fort has an epic gear, I doubt he could skid it if he wanted to.

Some faaaaaaakin student asked me if I knew of any 'sick fixie shops' so I pointed him in the direction of On Your Bizzle. Saw a peugeout conversion chained up by the bull statue. Talked to man with beard on a charge plug.

Saw two fixed gear/single speed riders this morning on my ride into work. One was a guy on a white bike (didn't get a proper look cos he was behind me) near the Botanical Gardens. Second had a Fuji Track with red platform pedals (looked like DMR v8/12s to me), fixed gear but with 2 brakes, going through Paradise Forum where you have to get off and walk. He did that "cool" dismount where you swing your leg over the handlebars... I need to learn that one!

no? i know the... jump of and grab the saddle dismount,

never seen legs going over the handlebars.

it sounds excessive, but i want to see it.

google "fixed gear handlebar dismount" for some spectacularly bad video examples.

....sounds like the flip that Prince Naseem Hamed used to make on entrance to the boxing ring. I use it all the time.

thats the one haha. hoping to get it de-lugged and painted up when the student loan drops, should be a bit easier on the eye then. but it gets me around!
