Horrible Profile Airwing bars and shoite quick release emergency wheel... nastiness
-
• #235
Heeeyyyy...profile airwings are all you need to get up a steep hill.
bit wide mind

They look good on some other people's bikes... e.g. Luke from Manchester... but my bike looks lame with anything other than drops or risers
-

That Moser looks really, really, nice

Spotted a man with a beard on a dark coloured bike in Aston heading North. Also spotted someone in the bullring area riding another dark (black?) bike wearing a full face helmet.

Yeah they look shit, but functionality-wise i don't think you can beat bars like that.
...i'm currently tryng to lever some oversize risers into an old road stem but i
don't think it will fit.... -

You're right, they're pretty good to use. I would use them if they didnt have a 1cm drop, I regret not buying the flat ones. I prefer drops with aero levers though, more comfortable although more heavy.

Saw Rob from CM in the electric cinema on saturday. Sat down right next to him before I noticed him!
Also met a recumbent rider and tried to convince him to get a fixie....but he ended up making me want a recumbent

Saw someone astride a Giant single or fixed bike opposite my work on Fazeley Street earlier taking photographs of the graffiti.
Would have popped over to say hello but I had loads of painting to be getting on with!

-

• #246
That'll probably be me
Finished early so had rare ride around town before heading home. Saw a really nice orange Holdsworth outside Ideal, and had a nice chat with one of the guys in Sprocket Cycles. They've got a second hand PDM jersey in there for 18 quid, sadly too small for me (it's a Medium) to live out my Sean Kelly fantasies
-
• #247
Orange Holdsworth = Chris's
I was tempted to buy that PDM jersey but jerseys look shite on me
-
• #248
