i was probably on my way to great western arcade to get a ferrule for my controller's walking stick, which he lost in the mud while walking his dog

  • spot the brummie in london

  • I saw someone speeding down salisbury road on monday night, about 7.15, white or silver fixed? I was trucking up the other way on my SS.....Also saw someone yesterday 5.30ish speeding through digbeth traffic towards markets...me still tucking across the road SS while i await new BB for the fixed...

  • ^ both couldve been me, but my bikes white & blue and pretty distinctive.

    White and blue and chrome?

Wasn't the white and blue and chrome Moser....I haven't seen that one for ages.

  • The owner of the moser left brum last summer.

  • alas that was a nice bike.

  • Argh my bike looks shoite in that picture

Horrible Profile Airwing bars and shoite quick release emergency wheel... nastiness

  • Heeeyyyy...profile airwings are all you need to get up a steep hill.

    bit wide mind

  • They look good on some other people's bikes... e.g. Luke from Manchester... but my bike looks lame with anything other than drops or risers

  • That Moser looks really, really, nice

  • Spotted a man with a beard on a dark coloured bike in Aston heading North. Also spotted someone in the bullring area riding another dark (black?) bike wearing a full face helmet.

Yeah they look shit, but functionality-wise i don't think you can beat bars like that.

...i'm currently tryng to lever some oversize risers into an old road stem but i
    don't think it will fit....

  • You're right, they're pretty good to use. I would use them if they didnt have a 1cm drop, I regret not buying the flat ones. I prefer drops with aero levers though, more comfortable although more heavy.

  • Saw Rob from CM in the electric cinema on saturday. Sat down right next to him before I noticed him!

Also met a recumbent rider and tried to convince him to get a fixie....but he ended up making me want a recumbent

  • Saw someone astride a Giant single or fixed bike opposite my work on Fazeley Street earlier taking photographs of the graffiti.

Would have popped over to say hello but I had loads of painting to be getting on with!

  • i wonder if it was Fritz, the guy who came 2nd in the alleycat

  • he had a big u lock on his downtube at the alleycat, that may help

  • Guy on a metallic light blue/green fixie sprintint down corporation street.
    Wearing yellow lycra?

  • That'll probably be me

Finished early so had rare ride around town before heading home. Saw a really nice orange Holdsworth outside Ideal, and had a nice chat with one of the guys in Sprocket Cycles. They've got a second hand PDM jersey in there for 18 quid, sadly too small for me (it's a Medium) to live out my Sean Kelly fantasies

  • Orange Holdsworth = Chris's

I was tempted to buy that PDM jersey but jerseys look shite on me

  • Its a Hetchins!!!

  • saw a bloke on a chrome charge plug with white saddle and white bar tape, singlespeed, by the library/council buildings at around 6 yesterday. then saw someone on an orange kooga at the top of broadstreet which may or may not have been fixed/ss.
