  • how can you call it a decent compound when the chain snapped regularly?! I seen quite a handful of unipack going up Pentonville Road being pushed by it owner without a chain.

it'd just make you spend an extra £30 to £200 just to fix it up properly.

  • +1 to edscoble

dont buy one if you intend to ride

unipacks are meant to be pushed around (saves hipster from sweating) and when you are around the corner from the pub you get on the bike and cycle up to the venue (praying the chain does not fall off)

  • are they worth buying and how much
    ?

  • max, looks like you already have a unipack.

you can write, thereforth can read.

  • not necessarily.

As you've probably worked out by now, Max, between all the highly amusing replies elsewhere that told you yes, the serious answer is no, unless you want to learn about bikes the hard way. It's always worth buying something of better quality, as it'll give you much less trouble. Even if you don't have that much money to invest to start with, it's worth the wait. You'll only end up paying extra for additional bits on a cheaper bike. Avoid the cheap temptations.
