What is the proposed 'fixed' date for these first games?
-

its up to you to organise thurs or sat. up to the teams involved.

within how long?
Sorry, i wasn't around for the last bit of chat at the pub so just trying to get this straight.

not too sure about that bit... well theres two game nights a month so maybe the second and forth week on a month?
-
• #38
• Match must be played in a fix date, unless agree by the two teams to be play in another date within two weeks
so the time limit is two weeks and I assume that's from today's posting of the fixtures.
Bear with me folks, i'm working this through my small mind as i go...

I have a Polo court in my garden! (I live in an abandoned primary school) That would be quite fitting for a "home court". Soft floor too for them kids

Cool, nice one Mike.
Yeah, makes sense otters. The league starts/started on the 1st October, so these 1st fixtures should be played by the 15th.
Shins, I think the best idea is to try and work out any time/day to play the other team within the two weeks. Only if both teams can't agree on a day do we need to enforce the league day rule.
I also think we need to work out the season length. With 12 teams, playing every other team home and away, this season would last 11 months! I reckon we only play every other team once, and it's just luck of the draw whether it's home or away. Cuts down the season to 5 months. What do you think?

Malice international, do you want to play NE tomorrow night and your home court on Saturday?
I think that our court will have to be Central Street if we're not allowed to play Downham Road.

It's not really based on a month, it's based on weeks. Basically you have two thursdays and two saturdays to work it out. Starting from tomorrow, Oct. 2. to the 11th and continuing like so:
Oct. 25th
Nov. 8th
Nov. 22nd
Dec. 6th
Dec. 20th*
Jan. 3rd*
Jan. 17th
Jan. 31st
Feb. 14th
Feb. 28th- Holidays?
And yes, we will have to play every team once, not twice (home and away) so it's kind of luck how you draw your home and away games. The 'draw' is actually based on the order of each team signing up, first to sign up got home games, last to sign up got away games. This will be alternated according to a grid. I'll post up the maths eventually.
Please, once your game has been played, email londonbikepololeague@googlemail.com with your scores and a quick 'play-by-play' if possible. Scores will be kept at www.londonbikepololeague.blogspot.com
:)
